Stax SR-X1 (new entry model)
Yeah Im an over the road driver and I just managed to get lucky with regards to the fact I managed to get my pair sent to a facility of my company while on the road. It's gonna be a major pain to try to get this defective pair shipped back to Stax Audio I need to find a suitable box.- CannedWheat

Stax SR-X1 (new entry model)
Yeah probably should have worded the sentence a bit better. I meant that the QC of Stax and HFM are on par but the channel matching is stax's own issue- CannedWheat

Stax SR-X1 (new entry model)
Well I do believe Ill probably be returning both the SR-X1 and the SRM-D10II pending on what Stax Audio will say/do.... I was doing a bit of late night music listening and the center image seemed to be drifting and me having poor hearing chocked it up to my sinuses being funny with the weather...- CannedWheat

I kinda figured the one for the Moondrop Dawn Pro was one but it didn't seem to work so idk appreciate the advice, also don't look forward too much to my review I can't hear very well so it's likely to be way different than other opinions.- CannedWheat

Stax SR-X1 (new entry model)
Man the D10II isn't enough to drive the X1 for my deaf ears the Amp clips The SRD-7mk2 will probably be a different animal entirely but as it stands this headphone is absolutely superb I'm loving every bit of it it's silky smooth the bass texture is nice and rich I can't wait to get it home and...- CannedWheat

Stax SR-X1 (new entry model)
I would have posted Tuesday evening but unfortunately the 12v power adapter was DOA. :frowning2: I contacted stax USA and I was given a prepaid return label for the Amp so I sent it back. I had a SRM-D10II(which I should have just bought to begin with) overnighted to one of my company's...- CannedWheat

Stax SR-X9000
I have found yet another amp that pairs wonderfully with the X9000. It's so sweet and mellow, when listening the Vocals are as sweet as syrup and smooth as silk and sound as if there is nothing between myself and the music. The bass is rich and full. It's truely astounding that I can continue to...- CannedWheat

Stax SR-X9000
Good stuff. I run my X9000 with a stock SRD-7MK2 and various speaker Amps probably my favorite of which is my Sansui BA-303 it has such a sweet and rich tone it probably had the best sounding low end and mids of all my Amps. I also agree that I've never felt that the adapter has been holding the...- CannedWheat

Stax SR-X9000
How do I swap the pads I'm looking at previous posts in the thread and it seems as if you have to almost fully disassemble the headphone to remove the pads? Are there any clear instructions on how to install the pads?- CannedWheat

Stax SR-X9000
What would actually be considered an imbalance I've measured my X9000 sn 14xx and it seems pretty good until it gets to the treble and then it just looks like bad matching however due to my poor hearing I'm unable to hear any issues and have just been chocking it up to the measurements rig just...- CannedWheat

Stax SR-X9000
Is there any actual benefit of me using a direct drive amplifier or boutique Adapter unit I just don't see how it could improve that drastically from The SRD-7mk2 plus I get to use all sorts of lovely vintage Amps to power them- CannedWheat

Little Dot I+ Tube Rolling
So I'm new to the tube amp business, so I'm not sure what would be good or not tube wise. I have the opportunity to buy a pair of 1945 Western electric 6AK5 tubes, and im not sure it would be worth it would they be decent? I would appreciate any and all help. Thanks- CannedWheat
