    Try doing really easy mods like adding a bit of foam on ur dt 990s to reduce treble or reduce it through eq.

    Anything you do, don't buy turtle beach. With that money, you can get the dt 880s on mass drop right now, and maybe you might want the sennheiser 558s or something.

    Since you seem to like the DT880s, maybe you might want to give the DT770s a try, they are pretty damn good, although they might not be the best in ur price bracket.
