NEW! Fostex TH610 Premium Reference Closed-Back Headphones
I am afraid they likely gave it up. There has been a few headphone festivals (conventions) in Japan since, but the model was not on show ever again. Instead they announced T60RP (which is a walnut product as well) and be done with it? Could it be due to TH610 has poor sales again?- innaterebel

Fostex T60RP
That's unfortunate... The priority shipping usually is shockingly fast when Amazon.jp themselves have it in stock :triportsad: That said, I just checked the biggest price comparing site in Japan kakaku.com and it does seem that T60RP are currently in short supply as a whole, no online retailer...- innaterebel

The 4 are not from Amazon.jp themselves, but a marketplace Amazon provided for other retailers to sell their things on Amazon. What shipment plan did you choose?- innaterebel

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
Sealing issue with different pads on different heads I guess... And of course personal perception. Ori (without attenuators) actually gives me significantly more sub-bass and soundstage than stock pads, and maybe a touch more brightness, which is to my liking. But honestly my perception is in...- innaterebel

I remember reading it in this thread though that the gap is actually the port system itself, blocking it will ruin the sound.- innaterebel

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
It is... well, an open-back version of TH610. But that is just saying it has similar spec with 600/610 and uses the same walnut wood as 610 to make its grill cup. All the details are still TBA. Back when it was announced (mid-July) they had just finalized that grill design and yet to decide its...- innaterebel

NEW! Fostex TH610 Premium Reference Closed-Back Headphones
A portable music convention held in Akihabara of Tokyo. https://mainichi.jp/articles/20170716/gnw/00m/040/005000c (near the bottom of page) There is not much information, other than that it will be a bit pricier than 610. The final price, release date, and actual model number (placeholder...- innaterebel

NEW! Fostex TH610 Premium Reference Closed-Back Headphones
Thank you very much! I have to ask because I have a very problematic asymmetric skull that results in extremely uneven distribution of clamping force with almost any around-ear headphones, hence every one more possible bit absorption of clamping and adaption to skulls are crucial for me. And...- innaterebel

NEW! Fostex TH610 Premium Reference Closed-Back Headphones
As forum threads are not searchable in its current form, I have to ask if redundantly. Do you feel TH610's stock pads are really utilizing memory foams as stated? Or they are just soft but not actually slow-rebounding? If you have been wearing a TH-X00, does TH610 feel apparently softer and...- innaterebel

Can you instance a pic about the J-money pads? All pictures I can find for the J-money appear nothing like the Ori, and also I found this post about the two pads not being comparable in terms of sound signature...- innaterebel

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
Audiophiles are not as into 'fun' sound signatures as they convinced themselves to be after all, I guess. Been seeing quite a few settled on a more referential signature in the end. More naturally, no offense, but most people just doesn't seem to be short of cash, they quickly found these...- innaterebel

TH500RP pads are identical to TH-X00 ones according to previous discussion. TH610 ones have slightly larger opening. Which ring and which plate do you mean? (here we go again) The Dekoni TH-X00 pads come with no attachment at base price, only the pads; plus $8 for a pair of...- innaterebel

Intentionally or not, we know those foam discs are not glued, and while it appears they generally can fix into place by themselves, I would add it is not impossible they can be touched by the pads and hence rotated together with pads when you rotate the pads for adjusting or...- innaterebel

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
Not directly answering, but since you have the HD600, isn't it a lot easier to search for the comparison between 600 and 650? It should also be easier to get the idea about how 650 is like and then imagine the difference with TH-X00, since 600 is far, far closer to 650 than TH-X00. Directly...- innaterebel

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
In TH-X00's case, we claim the influence because the stock pads of TH-X00 are in fact a part of its tuning kit, it has special parts built in the pads. So being identical in shape and size is theoretically not enough to achieve the exact same sound. No one said you are wrong (more like...- innaterebel

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
Yea, since the mounting ring is what people will see at first sight when taking off the pads that is a ring and being plastic, and the inner plate is unique enough a design to be aware of, people not in the know naturally refer to the mounting ring when we say either "ring" or "plastic". ...- innaterebel

Denon pads were among the first people tried, so the impressions are buried in the early days of the thread. But a Google search should bring you some result. Those are not TH900mk2 pads. Mk2s did not change their pads from the original TH900s as far as I can tell...- innaterebel

As that was stated first line on the drop page of Purpleheart and Ebony... Yeah I was going to question you the same. Although it is said the E-MU Teaks turned out to be more successful on that regard. (but Tyll's review sounds like that Teaks are nothing like D5000s...?)- innaterebel
