New headphones or AMP/DAC upgrade
Hi everyone. I have a Hifiman HE-400i and the combo FiiO E17K as a DAC and a FiiO K5 as an amp. IMHO sound is very good and very transparent. I want to give it a try a new Grados Sr325e for around $295 and pair it whit the FiiO combo I just mention. Or it will be better to invest that budget in...- wuicho

Fiio E17k Alpen 2
Will you guys think this AMP/DAC will drive good enough my HE400i, i'm using a Mac as a main Source. I read this headphones are hard to drive at low impedance and are very current hunger. My other option is to get the E12 that is more powerfull or maybe the Objective 2 and ditch the DAC from now.- wuicho

FiiO E17K Review
Hi i just got a HifMan HE400i, I'm currently using a Mac Book Pro as a Source its sound very good, I use around 60% or 70% of the volume and its pretty loud, but if I go up the sound will get harsh and get very subtle background hiss noise Thinking about the e17K for getting more juice in...- wuicho

My HE400i arrive a few days ago, one word: WOW! I re-discover my music. I appreciate all the input you guys give me. Headphone Amp/DAC for Hifiman HE400i Headphones
I'm in the same situation, I need an AMP/DAC to connect the HE400i to a Mac Book, something in the sub $300. I need it portable because I will be moving around in my house. I'm leaning around this three options whit very low impedance output: 1) FiiO Alpen 2 E-17K whit Output impedance <1.1...- wuicho

A good $300 cans or two for the same price
If i buy an AMP/DAC i want something future proof for the next copule of years. So the combo Schiit Magni + Bifrost would be and excellent amp/dac for the HE400i, do you think it will be a better future proof than the Magni/Modi? Also do you think if maybe in the future if I want to try...- wuicho

A good $300 cans or two for the same price
Ok, very good advice maybe I'l wait some time and just listen to them straight out of my MacBook . Planning in the coming weeks, as I understand so it is best to start in this case whit a DAC upgrade, what do you think of a Schiit Modi 2 Uber for start. Then in the coming months get the Magni 2?- wuicho
