    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

Another question, this time for Xbox One owners: Does anyone have any experience using these cans with either the headset adapter or built in 3.5mm jack in newer controllers? I will be getting an amp, but I'll be sitting on the HD600's for a few weeks without one and was wondering if I could...

    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

Does anyone have any experience with both the Fiio e10k and the Schiit Modi/Magni 2? I'm looking to upgrade to the HD600 soon and was initially leaning towards the Schiit stack, but the much cheaper Fiio amp/DAC recently came to my attention. How noticeable is the difference between these two...

    *Official Schiit Magni/Modi 2 ( Uber ) Thread*

I'll probably go for the Schiit stack (non uber) off the Schiit website. It isn't all bad though; Addicted to Audio sell the HD600's for $328 AUD which translates into $237 USD.

    Audio Technica ATH-AD900x Impressions Thread

Where do you live? Here in Australia the prices can also get pretty ridiculous. About $350 AUD for the Schiit stack including shipping. Found a reasonable price for the 600's though ($330 AUD), which, in USD, is pretty much the cheapest I've seen it.

    Audio Technica ATH-AD900x Impressions Thread

Thanks for the suggestion. However I'll likely be tailoring my amp/DAC to my next set of cans (which, at the moment, seem to be the HD600 - I've heard good things about the Schiit Modi/Magni 2 when paired with the 600)

    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

Thanks for the information. I'm going to keep an eye on the Schiit stack for now. It's often credited as the only amp/DAC you'll need, so it may even be worth paying a little extra if it will get years of use across multiple headphones.

    *Official Schiit Magni/Modi 2 ( Uber ) Thread*

Any Australian owners of this stack? The set is $400 AUD from the Australian reseller (addictedtoaudio.com.au) which I'm not quite willing to pay. The exchange rate and shipping don't make it much cheaper off of the Schiit site either (about $350 AUD). Is there a cheaper way to obtain these...

    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

Thanks for the reply. I'm pretty sold on the HD600's, only problem now is the amp/DAC. I was looking at the Magni/Modi 2, but the price here in Australia is painful. The official reseller (addictedtoaudio.com.au) charges $400 for the pair, whereas the exchange rate and shipping bring them to...

    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

Has anyone had any experience with the AD900x's? I'm looking to upgrade from them to the HD600's (with a Schiit Modi+Magni). I've been happy with the AD's for a while now but I feel it might be time to move on to something better, with the HD600's currently being the best candidate. My musical...

    Audio Technica ATH-AD900x Impressions Thread

If I buy a DAC, I'll probably buy an amp to accompany it. I just don't think it would be worth it for my current cans (AD900X), so I'll probably purchase the DAC and amp next time I upgrade.

    Audio Technica ATH-AD900x Impressions Thread

No, I haven't really tried many headphones other than the ones I own (unfortunately the closest dedicated headphone store isn't that close). I don't currently own a DAC. I mostly use my Android phone and laptop. (Still not entirely sure if those questions were directed at me, still getting to...

Just curious, what about the AD900X's did you prefer over the HD600's? I currently own and use the AD's and was thinking about upgrading to the HD600's (likely with the Schiit modi+magni).

    New Member Introductions thread

Hey there,   I've come across the site multiple times during my few searches for headphones but decided I'd get a bit more involved. I started with the M50's before stepping up to the AD900X's (which, for the most part, I'm happy with). However I'm now considering the HD600's along with the...
