Since you are just listening to ebooks, I don't you need anything expensive. The ve monk plus is mid forward and will raise the vocals for your audiobooks, it's also pretty opened so you can hear your surrounding pretty well. It only cost 5 bucks and it's built like a tank too

For the same price as the se215, I would recommend the audio technica e40 as it fits your music needs better. The kinera H3 is also pretty nice for what you need and it seals better than the E40 in my experience
