Asking out of interest, has anybody managed to sample the susvaras with the hifiman ef6 and make comparisons to other well recommended amps?

ok yeah haha I may have simplified too far My simple understanding is that these factors should be focused on when looking for new amp: --THD+N of the amp --The amp class --whether it matches well with your dac --whether stuff inside is rather insulated from eachother --balanced/unbalanced --reviews

so long as the headphone sounds as loud as you like it around the middle of the volume knob on the amplifier, I think youre good. I have the EF6 with the susvara but have not compared with other amplifiers--anybody had the opportunity to compare? It should be technically competent enough. Im...

I have not compared with other amplifiers but I am running the susvaras on an EF6 and am very pleased, it should meet most budgets. It is high heat amp though.

I am no specialist, I just kindof buy that there will be small differences in the current when it is generated miles away. I have generally heard positive reviews of regenerators from people that have tried them. Does anybody here use a regenerator? Heard a difference? The big drawback, is that...

Hi all, thanks for your responses. I have heard that opinions on power conditioners are mixed. Im gonna have to keep an eye out for a second hand one. The older regenerators are available for "cheap" but they are so gigantic. Also, the heat. Maybe I wait for the more premium regenerators to...

Just got my susvaras :) Connected to an EF6 and Ares 1 Could not be happier. My main surprise is how good even "low quality" source material sounds. As if its enhancing it instead of pointing out its flaws. Looking at cables mostly for aesthetic purposes :) And maybe a power regenerator seems...

I am hoping to drive them using an Hifiman EF6, it was built custom for the HE6, very similar to susvara

Actually confusingly enough I meant 6.3mm I was messaging a dealer earlier this week about buying a susvara and they said: From my email to him: Me: "...If so, could you rate its condition for me, and, is it the 3.5mm?" Dealer: "....as you's expect for a 3 day old headphone, they've not even...

Can anybody with a 6.5mm susvara recommend cables they found synergized?

I actually think thats a fairly good assumption on their part. But yes, at 6000 USD, the cable should be something you want to use--especially 6 years after release. which is whats baffling, seems easy fix.

I see. Why do they do this. It baffles. But then you look at the construction itself ... And then the obvious ploy of switching ports every two years to tank second hand market. Not a good look. Just give us the good connector from the start. I'd be annoyed with a 2.5mm connector right now.

I think UK market is too small since Brexit, because this price is already insanely good!

Hey guys, Does anybody have any comments regarding the stock cable that comes with the 6.5mm susvara? I have heard many complaints of the other cables--is this the same deal?

Comment by 'shurleyss' on listing 'SOLD =.......Susvara : Like New Condition'

I think because the 6.5 mm can be found new for about 5,000 USD if you ask for dealer discount, mint prices for 3.5mm = 4500 USD, 2.5mm =4000 USD. 500 USD reduction if worse than mint. Even so, this was a great price for near mint (I was actually foolish enough to pass on!)

Can anybody here comment on whether they prefer the susvaras to the Shangrila Jr. If both + amplification were available for the same price--which would you prefer?
