Ferrum WANDLA - Impressions Thread
I’m in Canada and bought my WANDLA from a local dealer. Will I have to go through headphones.ca to upgrade my existing unit?- GiBGUN

Yeah the LCD-4 are so damn nice. I find the LCD-R similar enough to hang on to, but it misses the insane slam of the 4.- GiBGUN

Meze EMPYREAN II
Did you have the first headband before they changed it? I tried both and the first one hurt my head, the second is very comfy. And yeah I really didn't like the stock tuning especially with the razor blade upper-mids. I found it unbearable. Funny enough Audeze were planning a second preset that...- GiBGUN

As an LCD-5 owner I'm also interested in how the Empy 2 compares. I think I'm one of the few that actually enjoys the LCD-5! (subject to Mitch's convolver).- GiBGUN

Hi Golden, Is it a design choice to have the WANDLA output 32bit when signal is not bit perfect? Just curious why it happens and what the benefits are.- GiBGUN

Believe this is showing your output not input, so this is part of the filter.- GiBGUN

Curious how many of you run it as a stack like this with no shelving? It looks great, but I’ve not done it due to thermal concerns.- GiBGUN

Audeze LCD-5 Review, Measurements, Interview
Quite hard to make a direct comparison as they use such different materials and follow very different design principles, but there is definitely no deviation from quality on the LCD-5.- GiBGUN

Had this with the TT2. Chord told me to get an iFi Groundhog. It helped a fair bit, but it was still there. No issues with the Ferrum stack since selling the TT2.- GiBGUN

Ferrum WANDLA - Impressions Thread
I assume some people just like seeing the icon for the actual device in their chain. There are plenty of devices in Roon that are not streaming devices, so I'm not surprised by the ask.- GiBGUN

Ferrum WANDLA - Impressions Thread
Can someone explain to me how the trigger functionality works on the Hypsos/OOR/Wandla? If I am using the stack with a Ferrum Splitter, do I need any additional equipment to be able to power on all 3 devices from standby, by using the knob on the Hypsos? Perhaps I am not even understanding...- GiBGUN

Introducing the Audeze LCD-R!
Yep bang on. The 'R' and '5' compliment each other all too well. Aside from the sonic differences that I'm in total agreement with, the '5' are just brutal with poor recordings, whereas the 'R' are a fair bit more forgiving. I was planning to sell one/keep one, but decided not to part with...- GiBGUN

Ferrum WANDLA - Impressions Thread
I'd try both and see. I believe technically the cleanest path would be analogue volume on the Wandla with OOR on bypass, however I prefer using the different amp stages of the OOR and find it produces a better sound on my setup to have the Wandla in bypass. FWIW Wojtek at Ferrum also uses his...- GiBGUN

Audeze LCD-5 Review, Measurements, Interview
Some of my thoughts: The TOTL swiss army knife with its ultra low distortion built from the ground up with EQ in mind Sound: - Super detailed yet a bit on the dark side. - Stock tuning leans too far towards flat/studio for my personal tastes. The Audeze house sound always seems to have been...- GiBGUN
