Yeah the LCD-4 are so damn nice. I find the LCD-R similar enough to hang on to, but it misses the insane slam of the 4.

As an LCD-5 owner I'm also interested in how the Empy 2 compares. I think I'm one of the few that actually enjoys the LCD-5! (subject to Mitch's convolver).

Hi Golden, Is it a design choice to have the WANDLA output 32bit when signal is not bit perfect? Just curious why it happens and what the benefits are.

Believe this is showing your output not input, so this is part of the filter.

Quite hard to make a direct comparison as they use such different materials and follow very different design principles, but there is definitely no deviation from quality on the LCD-5.

Had this with the TT2. Chord told me to get an iFi Groundhog. It helped a fair bit, but it was still there. No issues with the Ferrum stack since selling the TT2.

Very interested to demo these when I get a chance. Also wonder if this means we're likely to see an Elite II in Q1 or Q2...

I assume some people just like seeing the icon for the actual device in their chain. There are plenty of devices in Roon that are not streaming devices, so I'm not surprised by the ask.

Can someone explain to me how the trigger functionality works on the Hypsos/OOR/Wandla? If I am using the stack with a Ferrum Splitter, do I need any additional equipment to be able to power on all 3 devices from standby, by using the knob on the Hypsos? Perhaps I am not even understanding...

Yep bang on. The 'R' and '5' compliment each other all too well. Aside from the sonic differences that I'm in total agreement with, the '5' are just brutal with poor recordings, whereas the 'R' are a fair bit more forgiving. I was planning to sell one/keep one, but decided not to part with...

Wandla/OOR for me was both neutral and natural, which means it’s all staying on my desk for the foreseeable future :)
