    Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and Wireless!

As I already explained, it does work in DAC mode.  It's just that the microphones are of poor quality (largely because they don't face the user's mouth, IMHO).

The MW2 microphones suck, so, you're far better off using a separate microphone in either wired or wireless mode.   You can use the MW2 microphones in wired mode via the built-in DAC and a USB connector.  Headphone quality is great; microphone quality is abysmal.

Not at all - I had the same problem, which is the only reason I know the answer.   ;>

You have to rotate the 2.5mm end which plugs into the headphones until it locks.

So, I decided to try and use the M2Ws with my iPhone 6 Plus in DAC mode - I took a microUSB OTG adaptor, plugged it into the headphones, then plugged an MFI Lightning cable from the OTG adaptor to the iPhone.   No joy.  When I play something from the Apple Music app in this configuration, it...

It's widely-known that the PS4 doesn't support Bluetooth headphones for gaming.   I'm still using an ancient set of Turtle Beach PX5s for surround gaming with my PS4.  Will probably upgrade to Turtle Beach Elite 800s soon due solely to physical deterioration of the soft leather-like trim on...

Use Skype's Test Call, or just record yourself using any of a number of applications. On the iPhone, Voice Memo is enough to judge the quality (or lack thereof).

Thanks for testing this - now I know it's not just me, heh. The mics sound about the same in wired USB DAC mode. It's definitely the mics. Sigh.

I agree - I believe that the mics in the M2Ws are inferior, given that they don't sound that great when used in wired USB DAC mode, either. The mics in my Parrot Zik 1.0s also sound 'hollow' when compared to the simple cardioid mic in my 8-year-old, $30 Shure iPhone 3.5mm extension cable, heh...

    >When I use the M2 wireless with my Mac, I use the webcam mic for calls (the boom pro mic is wired, can't use with the M2 wireless).   The problem is that all my colleagues have heard me for so long using the Shure mic, that when I've tried using the MacBook Air mic, they all ask what happened...

    Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and Wireless!

Right - I'm on OSX and iOS, but that oughtn't to matter.   I haven't received a complaint, per se, but someone with whom I speak regularly commented that while I remained intelligible, the quality of the audio from the M2W mics wasn't as good as the quality from the 8-year-old Shure iPhone...

So, I rang Sennheiser USA, and spoke with a helpful and knowledgeable technician named John (or Jon).  He explained to me that the '20141118REV01', or '. . . REV02' in no way relates to the version of the Momentum Wireless 2.0 hardware; it's the version of the packaging.   I could tell he...

Fool that I am, when the M2 Wireless became available again on Amazon via a 3rd-party reseller called 6ave (last week of October), I immediately ordered them.  Even though a little voice in the back of my head was telling me to wait, that they might well fob off old stock on me, I let my...
