Wondering how everyone is connecting their ipads and iphones with the new connectors to portable headphone amps ? Have 3 portable amps that I would like to use with the newer Apple products. The amps are a Go-Vibe and Emmeline  "The Hornet", the last amp I cant recall the name. Any help would...

The best case for an i pod by far is the yo-tank. For even better protection I put a Best Skins Ever on the ipod video and the yo-tank also. They have pics on there website of jeeps running over this case and no damage is done to the ipod. YO-TANK for the win !!!!!!!

I used a Matias Armor clip that has a very strong adhesive to attach it to anything. I attached it to my amp and the ipod nano sits on top of it so i can easily change songs. Great product !!!!!

U can also buy a matias armor clip that attaches to anything and is very strong. They also have a lifetime warranty on them. I have it attached to my portable amp.

I dremmiled my nano case so the ALO dock would fit. Worked out fine, used a black magic marker to cover up dremmil marks. Also I put a best skins ever on the ipod nano to protect it even more, especially the wheel. Works great and is by far to me the best protection for any ipod.

For my portable rig i bought a matias armour clip and attached it to my go vibe 3 so i dont have a bulky bag on my side.

I think i paid 70 or 80 bucks for my Hakko and do not regret it. Bought it on ebay brand new. Usually goes for 135.

I have that !!!!! Best skin and i-tank on both my nano and 30gb 5.5 gen ipods. Believe me, they are well protected, like Ft. Knox.

Dzjudz you still have not received your Hornet ? Got my Green Hornet 4 days after I started this thread. If I were you I would e-mail Ray, he might have misplaced your order due to all the people buying the amp from the advertisement.

On ebay they sell a wired remote for 5G ipod. It plug's into the dock and also has a 3.5mm plug coming off the dock connector. Do you think this will work if I plug the dock into my ipod and the 3.5mm plug into my amp ? Just do away with my ALO dock line out.

I also sent an e-mail to ken from ALO, to see if he could help me out with this.

I think those would work but my case i have for my 30gb ipod video will not let it connect to that. I have a black i-tank case on it. Only a small opening for the dock.

I have a nice portable setup (30gb video ipod, Green hornet, Alo jumbo silver v2, UM2 iem's, samsonite camera bag) and I am looking for a remote for the ipod video. Want something so I don't have to keep opening the bag to change the track on the ipod. The ones they make now have a dock...

The alo cryo did not fit into my nano itank case so i had to grind it down (the case) with my dremmil so it would fit.
