Hi guys, I've never tube-rolled before as the Little Dot i+ is my first tube amp. My question is, would these tubes work with my amp, sound good, and would I have to change the settings? My amp came with 6J1 tubes originally.

As I said, the LCD-2s have a warmer, easier sound. But I wouldn't say that they wreck the EL-8s as the EL-8s are a lot more detail oriented and analytical. Additionally, the EL-8s have somewhat recessed highs but nothing that can be easily remedied with a light equalization.

I don't mean to cause a ruckus here, but I'm curious as to how the EL-8s compare in your varied opinions. Having listened to the LCD-2s, LCD-3s, and EL-8Cs, personally I find the EL-8Cs to be more analytical and detailed (closer to the LCD-X/LCD-XCs) whereas the LCD-2s provide a warmer and...

I agree with this point. Though more and more may seem like better, there was a lot to gain from the more personal and intimate environment from the last one. Yes, more people could provide more discussion, more headphones, and more comparison, but too many people and it stops being a meet-up...

Sounds great! I hope we can all get motivated and start planning and getting things together early to allow for a greater event.   I'm going to tentatively say that I'll be able to bring Audeze EL-8Cs, KEF M500s, and a Little Dot I+, and it depends on my situation but I intend to get new IEMs...

I would go on a limb here and say the Audeze EL-8s are one of the most aesthetically pleasing headphones.     And I'd even say that in the world of on-ear/portable headphones, the KEF M500s are right up there too.  

The location was great and if wifi will be more accessible next time, I think we should get this room again and spend time over the next months to gather whatever resources and invite whatever vendors we can.
