New Member Introductions thread
sup, I am new as well and really enjoying this forum so far Making my first steps into the audiosphere, I started a few years ago with a Xonar DX soundcard with Superlux HD681 & HD668B. I was pleasantly surprised, suddenly hearing things I didn't even know were there or was startled from...- michaschm

Noob looking for portable on-ear / in-ear suggestions for Fiio X3ii (+- 100€)
I finally went and bought some....until today I was using my old Superlux HD668B (which are extremely robust by the way). Not sure how known these are in non-German-speaking countries, but around here they (and a few others from the same brand) are often recommended as bargains. I don't...- michaschm

The FiiO X3 2nd gen (ex X3K, X3II) Thread : 192K/24B, CS4398,Native DSD, USB DAC with LO and inline remote
Are there any downsides to heavy use as DAC, regarding the battery health for example or anything else? Or is it fueled solely by USB/computer when I have plugged it in, in DAC-mode? I am just kind of afraid that I might damage it in some way, in the long run, as I often end up just...- michaschm

Noob looking for portable on-ear / in-ear suggestions for Fiio X3ii (+- 100€)
Found a few other interesting ones: Grado SR60e Skullcandy Grind Bang and Olufsen H2 Although I don't like B&O for various reasons and the Skullcandies just look ridiculous with that skull....lol, from what I've read so far these seem really good. I'll see what I can get my...- michaschm

Thanks for the recommendations. Yes well I've continued to look around (only online for now), also read a few threads and "best of" lists. But, to be honest, I am a bit overwhelmed by the sheer amount of possible options. Some models which seem interesting so far (on-ears): ...- michaschm

Noob looking for portable on-ear / in-ear suggestions for Fiio X3ii (+- 100€)
I guess I prefer a more neutral / unaltered sound, i. e. without too much emphasis on bass or anything like that.- michaschm

Noob looking for portable on-ear / in-ear suggestions for Fiio X3ii (+- 100€)
Hello, well the title pretty much says it all. I bought Xiaomi Pistons 3.0 already, but I doubt I can make full use of my new Fiio's potential with them, so I am looking for some additional recommendations. Also I was thinking about the new Fiio EX1, due to all the reviews mentioning...- michaschm

fiio x3 tf card
Edit: Ok guys, I just did more research and found out that males without effeminate nails have to utilize some tool like a key or a screwdriver to fully insert the card. Maybe that's common... I am not sure. At least my cam's card slot doesn't require it ;) More about it here...- michaschm

God :( I have the exact same problem, just found your thread while I was googling for help. Did anyone have the same issue and solved it? Card I am using is "San Disk Extreme 64GB microSDXC, Class 10, U3", I thought this one should be fine.- michaschm
