I agree, they all love Robs ear when it comes to building DAC’s, but fob it off when it comes to PSU’s.

If anyone here hasn’t done so already, you HAVE to pair the Qutest with an M-Scaler. It’s not ever a question , the difference you can never unhear. It’s revolutionary, and I’m not tying to be dramatic. Beg Steal Borrow

I assume they are a ferrite, being as I have I higher spec digital cable from them that has 2 ferrites on it, bought 2nd hand, and I have no clue as to the frequency.

Fancy name for a ferrite I think. I had ordered one to go on each, but read here that they are not necessary, so I cancelled them and they refunded the extra cost. They are on there way here now, hopefully in a few days.

The only thing I didn’t like about the manual was that it didn’t tell you exactly what the right 3 button are for. It simply could have said “for use with an upcoming product” and I wouldn’t have spent 2 hours trying to find something about them. Design? Absolutely love it.

Regardless of its triple cost, the Qutest severely benefits from the Scaler. I may buy a TT2, but one has to stop somewhere……………… I fink

With the Qutest, I’m not seeing any difference in the indicator lights for SR when going from 44.1 to 96khz. My Brooklyn DAC is showing me a jump from 352.8 to 384.0 so the MScaler is sampling those properly, but I don’t see it going between 705 to 768 on the Qutest. I know the lavender color...

3 sounds more likely that 6 with the HMS.

I don’t use my Brooklyn enough to know off hand if obvious features have been changed. I use my Chord Qutest most of the time.
