First thing you're going to notice with these cans is, of course, the bass. When properly amp'd, these things almost pop off your head. I haven't heard the JVC sz2000 or the Sony XB1000, but these have the most bass I've experienced so far. Some cans have punch but no sub, others have sub but...- Tyler Nicolo

There's really NO information online about the power output of the Mbox 3 Pro's headphone jack. I'm gonna have to look through my manual or see if there's any information on the box and post what I can find.- Tyler Nicolo

For less than $200 you won't find a better pair of headphones for studio use. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone who isn't going to be using them in a studio. ATH M50X vs Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro vs Shure SRH840 vs Beyerdynamic DT-770
I had a pair of M50x's and ended up returning them for the Shure 840's. I'm using them with the Mbox Pro 3 (which has a nice strong headphone signal btw).
