Those headphones look awesome, David. With my complete lack of do-it-yourself skills, I wouldn't even know where to begin to do something like that. 

The 560 is fantastic. But after reading about a couple others having gotten the rattle, I decided to go with the T1 and their 5 year warranty instead of trying to get another 560. I like Beyer's sound signature a lot. Both 560 and T1 are the finest sounding headphones I've ever listened.  

I heard a rattle on my 560's right side with bass type songs. Yep, the plastic(I think it's plastic) ring around the metal grille is definitely not fixed tight in place and is actually loose.  I can actually lightly tap on it with my finger and make it rattle.    I returned it.   I'll keep...

I have the Magni2 Uber/Modi2 Uber stack and I think they sound fantastic with all my headphones which includes the 400i and the HE--560.

When I bought my 400i during Black Friday, my cable was messed up and I contacted the dealer I bought them from. He had Hifiman send me another cable and told me to keep the bad one. The bad one works fine but the problem was the little plastic tube sleeve with the letter "R" on it wasn't glued...

I contacted Hifiman customer service to find out if they have a 3.5mm adapter for the 6.3mm(1/4") plug that came with my 560's cable. As those who own the headphone know, the stock 560 cable plug is 1/4" only. This is unlike the cable that came with my 400i which has a 3.5mm plug and a 1/4"...

OK, after listening to both the 560 and 400i side by side (Rock, Classical, Pop,) there is definitely a difference between them.   It  seems to me to be much easier to locate the individual instruments during a song and to place them on stage with the 560. The 560 seems to have a little more...
