low impedance IEMs
I'm looking for some low impedance IEMs that will sound ok without an amp. For what it's worth I love sennheisers (HD650 and IE8). I love my IE8 and will keep it; i'm just looking for some cheaper IEMs that I won't need an amp for when i go for a bike ride. Any recommendations?- keanej6

Issue with my iBasso D2+
First of all, I love this amp but for a while now i've been having issues with the output. If the jack is moved a certain way it will cut out a lot of the sound.... it won't cut out a channel entirely but will get significantly quieter or the bass will cut out. I listen to it while riding my...- keanej6

I guess my budget is ~$150 - $200... if i were to spend more i'd probably just get another ipod but i'm very open to suggestions. i wouldn't want to spend more than $400. can you explain what you mean by tag browsing? i have no problem tagging and organizing my files but i have a feeling...- keanej6

need a new DAP!
So my ipod's HD crapped out on me (AGAIN!) and i'm looking to replace it asap. As much as i like the capacity, the ease of use, and the aesthetics of the ipod, i don't want to replace it again just to have it crap out after a year again. i've been using IE8's powered by ibasso's d2+ and...- keanej6

hey guys - my rega p1 has been in the closet for years now and i'm finally looking to get it spinning again. i used to feed it into a cheap phono preamp into a cheap headphone/speaker tube amp ( i want to say it was a little dot but i know it wasn't.... same price point though) and i had...- keanej6

i've been wanting to try the IE8s every since i sold my HD650s a few years ago. i tried many headphone companies and settled on the sennheiser sound. unfortunately i had to sell everything off so until recently i only had a d2+ and UE triple.fi.10. first is first. the bass on these...- keanej6

S:flo2 impressions thread
Oh man i might have to get on the preorder list. S:flo2 owners who have previously owned cowon D2+: how do they compare (SQ, ease of navigation, battery, general aesthetics)? would you consider it an upgrade? i love the d2+ SQ but i don't really care for the design of the unit itself, and i...- keanej6

something new from my D2+
Hey guys i've been using my D2+ directly into triple.fi 10 for a couple years now. I love the sound quality so i've never had the urge to really change. the only thing is the navigation on the D2+ is kind of awkward. i also don't like the boxi-ness of the unit itself, i kind of wish it was a...- keanej6

Black Lung
can you recommend something in particular by them. i've only recently started getting into electronic music, and seeing that you like sunn, i trust your taste in music :) -
Does the fall of music ever depress you? It does me.
i think that as technology improves and as a result it is cheaper and easier for people to record music, then only naturally will there be a larger contribution of 'terrible' music. even before music was recorded it was impractical to be a musician unless you were good enough to a large enough... -

IE8 or TripleFi 10?
dang i didn't realize the ie8s were universally considered to outperform the tf10s... this interests me because i enjoyed the senn house sound far more than all the other brands i tried for full size cans. what tips do you guys find most comfortable for the ie8s? if it wasn't for comply, i...- keanej6

Earplugs!
hey i was going to start a thread, then i saw "earplugs!" i hope i'm not hi-jacking this thread, but i really need some earplugs for when i ride my motorcycle. i have some ER20s somewhere here but if i recall, they stick too far out (i wear a fullsize helmet). i have some squishy foam ones too...- keanej6

(technical) death metal recommendation
lol i actually have Wormed's "planispharium" and i kind of liked them. yes the vocals are ridiculous, but i thought they were pretty rad. the drums sounded like butt though. agree, Origin is the ****, i thought "informis ..." was their best but "antithesis" was really good too. Longstreth is... -
Jaco Pastorius
i was reading some article about Cream and Jack Bruce referenced Jaco Pastorius as one of the greatest rock bassists. can any of you guys recommend anything awesome that he played in? doesn't have to necessarily have to showcase his talent if the music is good, but it would be nice. -
(technical) death metal recommendation
scythe - i thank you for your recommendations - i've heard some stuff from gorguts in the past and i might give obscura another spin. gorguts is cool but a little too..."avant guarde"....i know i hate categorizing metal like this, but i guess it's necessary to convey what i'm looking for...
