    The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread

I wholeheartedly agreed.    Just to share how impressed I am: I spent more time with this 800 (in my home office) than my mid-fi 5 B&W (2x802D+1HTM1+2x805) speaker set up (powered by 3 Rotel Amps) in an acoustic treated (but still poor due to TWF) "audio" (aka family) room.   The HD800...

    The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread

I am using this inexpensive case (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PDEZIPA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) to store my HD800 (as the factory box is too big for my office shelves). Mind you this Geekria case (really meant for HD650) is a tight fit for the 800; but if you...

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6 Discussion Thread

I have both: Apples and Oranges as already stated. If you are not planning to add an Amp and just want to use the headphone primarily with a smart phone, get the H6. I have a large collection and I toss between H6 and PM3 (depending on my mood) when I work. If I could only buy one: I would get...

    XDuoo X3 DSD 24Bit / 192KHz CS4398 Chip Lossless Music Player

One major problem is heat. Depending on the connecting HP size, my X3 gets so hot to the point that when I fly, I have to shut off the unit after an hour of usage worrying it may combust.

I absolutely concurred;  it took Monsieur Sorrodje less than 8 hours to ship after payment received. (Thank you once again for sharing your invention!!)

    XDuoo X3 DSD 24Bit / 192KHz CS4398 Chip Lossless Music Player

I experienced similar "hotness" issue on my newly acquired unit.  I tend to place the unit in open area free of other combustible objects while charging just in case....

I have the 1.3M version and have no complaint. YMMV.

H6 v2.   The (fairly clean) bass on H6 v2 almost rivals with my THX-00.  YMMV.

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6 Discussion Thread

If indeed there is no difference between 1st and 2nd generation other than the driver appearances, then the discounted H6 1st Gen must be the best ROI headphone ever as you could get as much as 50% discount off retail. :)   Either way, I have no qualms paying the higher price as H6 2nd is...

    Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review

" I would think they make the bass even more prominent"   Here is my experience searching for a pair of more comfortable ear pads: after trying two different kinds of HM5 and one pair of lamb skin Alpha pads, I went back to the original. The low end of the rumbles were (much) less prominent...

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6 Discussion Thread

I cannot agree more; My H6 2nd has become the favorite getting the most attentions amongst my cans including the PM-3.

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6 Discussion Thread

My ears can't tell any difference; I used the B&H rubbery cable once. I can say the replacement cable is well constructed and relatively good looking. (I am shying from the "if cable makes a positive difference in sound or not" discussions.)

I am happy with this low cost purchase: http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-upgrade-Stereo-Olufsen-headphones/dp/B00MT56WLU?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00 Your mileage may vary.

I also have both the PM3 and H6 2nd. My ears are telling me the bass is stronger on the H6 while it may not be as "clean". > How the H6 V2 sound straight out from a portable device without amp? It sounds good enough.

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6 Discussion Thread

Received my (2nd Gen) H6 - natural tan color today, my first quick impressions are:   1. Its sound stage appears to be more open than the PM3. 2. Isolation is good; very low leakage. 3. Sounds very good just with an iPad and iPhone. 4. Using a Grace m9xx, the H6 opens up with more texture...

    Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review

"I didn't expect the swap to be as difficult as it was, really needed to stretch the HM5 pads around the rings,"   You are not kidding... I was about to return the pads (2 sets) until I read your post.     I too ordered the HM5 pads (but they are from MP4Nation); I could not get the pads to...
