After the Outage: Need to Re-Set Head-Fi links
I've noticed that, ever since head-fi came back following the lengthy outage, everytime that I click on a link such a buyer/seller feedback in members signatures, and also links (posted on other sites) to head-fi reviews, etc., the result is that the link sends me to a completely different...- vaper

Driving one HP amp with the output of another?
Maybe this gets filed under stupid questions, but maybe not... (I haven't tried/risked this, yet) What would happen if you took the output from whatever source, ran it into an amp and took the amp's output signal, and instead of driving a pair of headphones, ran it into a second amp who's...- vaper

oppo 970: best way to connect to portable amp?
I've been reading great things about the oppo 970. Would it make sense, and if so what would be the best way to connect the audio output of the oppo to a PINT? Am I looking at RCA (males) to 1/8" or what? I don't currently have a home system but I'd like to assemble one piece by piece so for now...- vaper

What's involved cost-wise in selling goods and shipping to Canada?
I've currently got some HPs listed in the FS forum and I was curious, just what additional expenses are involved if I sell to a buyer in Canada? Are there addition shipping expenses, documentation, etc. Does Paypal charge more? What else do I need to be aware of?- vaper

will my (humble) set-up justify a pair of MS2s?
sorry for another "what should I get" thread. anyhow, I love my kramer-modded ksc75s. my set-up is a 5G iPod (refurb) connected to a mini^fied PINT by an ALO Bling Bling. i listen to, primarily rock; classic, alternative, alt-country, acoustic, prog, etc. I've found my sr80s to be way too...- vaper

50+ post requirement to post on FS/FT forum, why?
I've got gear that I'd love to be able to put up for sale on this site but, alas, I'm well below the 50 post level. My fault as I'm a reader instead of a writer. And, when I have a question I make (frequent) use of the search function. So, what I'm trying to understand is who does the 50+...- vaper

1/4" to 1/8": why no high-end offerings?
With all of the ongoing discussions about the virtues of various line out devices and the sonic differences due to the type of wire and shielding, I was wondering why is there no such interest in 1/4" to 1/8" adapters? Why is it that the only concerns expressed over a few inches of either...- vaper

2 out of the 3 bears
First off, yes I've searched and read and I'm still asking: which one would you recommend? It's like the 3 bears, I find my sr80s too harsh/bright and my k501s too thin and I'm searching for the one that would be right for me. As far as my listening goes: Yes, Lucinda Williams, Radiohead...- vaper

Liking my SR80s, what IEM should I get?
I currently am enjoying my 4G ipod>PAV2v2>ALO Bling Bling>Grado SR80s, and I was hoping that I could get some recommendations for some IEMs (under$200)along the same general 'Grado' sound. I wouldn't mind a little more authoritative bass, but I'm by no means a bass-head. Yes I have searched...- vaper
