  Don’t want to de-rail this thread but have to disagree with your comment on the LP12, it so overrated. It may have been good in the 70’s but the Roksan Xerxes came out in the 80’s and killed it. So many more better turntables out their now.   I use an Acoustic Solid One to One turntable...

I use to have one and i can tell you the Stax gives you ZERO isolation.

That is what I think whenever people complain about something being too expensive.

It’s amazing how much they jack the prices up, you guys in America are lucky you should come and live in the UK.   The Lyra’s are lovely cartridges.   I use the Roksan Shiraz and the price has just jumped up to £3950 that is up by £1250, not funny.

Okay I see what you mean, I have never tried Shure IEM so not sure what to expect.   It’s like a lot of people love Grado sound which I can not stand but then I tried a PS500, liked it as it does not sound like a Grado (still would not by one). I would say it’s a Grado for non Grado fans...

You have not heard it yet, so you cannot say there are better out there. I will be reserving judgement till I have had a chance to listen to it.   The battery life of about 10 hours is not that bad, for me I would have loved it if it uses AA’s.  I am used to carrying spare Sanyo Eneloop AA’s...

If they don’t price it accordingly I think plenty of people will pick them up in America or elsewhere cheaper than UK.   I remember years ago when I used NuForce amps, I just pick them up while in New York for work saved myself £1000 on the UK price.

I don’t think you can compare this Shure to an HE-1000, for me they are for different markets.   For me I only use headphones on the move, never at home. An HE-1000 is not a great headphones to use on the move due to no isolation etc.
