is there any reason HD650 pads can be hard to come buy from distributors? I know some distributors dont stock them, but ordering directly from Sennheiser gets quicker dispatch etc

Just coming back to this after all these years. I've been enjoying my HD650s regularly lately. I had some HD598s that I used for movies for a long time and had been to lazy to swap the cans over to the 650s when listening to music. But lately I've revived them and its wonderous!

Personally I'm intrigued by planar IEMs. I wouldnt think that such a small diaphragm could produce any decent sound. I've yet to try any myself.

I miss my old Grados. But of course the biggest complaint was the headband. I've seen that GRado have improved headband comfort on the top models recently. I might have to reinvest in a pair
