ZMF Verite Closed-New Closed Back ZMF Flagship.
Now, what I'd really like to know is how one of them ended up being named Sydän (Heart in Finnish)... besides a guaranteed way of getting one at least. :)- ttol

Topping D90
Looks like the updated driver is now available: http://www.tpdz.net/newsinfo/435189.html The .zip package is corrupt but you can extract it with 7zip (winrar didn't work for me) and the actual driver .zip inside is intact. Installed without issue on Win 10 2004. You'll need to fully disconnect...- ttol

YouTube Music & WASAPI
Based on my night of googling and experiments it looks like there is no way to get YouTube Music to use wasapi/exclusive mode. Chromium had exclusive mode flag added at one point but looks like that has been broken for years (tested and confirmed broken). There is an unofficial desktop client...- ttol

RME ADI-2 DAC Thread
Any one come up with creative solutions to keep ADI-2 DAC in place? The thing is so light that it moves every time I adjust settings which is mildly annoying.- ttol

Massdrop x THX AAA™ 789 Linear Amplifier - Impressions Thread
If I use DAC for volume control would it be optimal to max the volume on 789? Not sure if there are any issues with the pot at max volume or other issues (e.g. gain 1 at max volume).- ttol

Same, though mine also involves checking the order tracking sheet compulsively for updates and once it ships checking the tracking details at least couple times a day.- ttol

What color combinations is everyone thinking of doing? I was planning to go with black chassis and maybe copper rods.. copper seems like a nice fit with the wood colors.- ttol

The Utah Meet & Greet, Sept 10, 2011. Be there!
hey, it has served me well :) Good specs at least back in the day, PLL to eliminate jitter.. that's pretty much all I need from a DAC.- ttol

Using on board optical vs. hiFace or similar?
I would just stick with the onboard optical/coax, that's what I have been using for years without any sound quality issues (As long as Bifrost has at least some kind of jitter correction, optical is going to sound identical to the ridiculously expensive USB interfaces).- ttol

Nope, it's a cheapo MSI "laptop" (Open box version of http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152252 that Newegg sold for $500). Just needed something with a fast CPU for some projects.- ttol

Is Soundcard an important factor in sound quality if connecting to an external DAC?
There is no audible difference. People have the habit of hearing what they want, if you just blew $200 on a fancy audiophile card it's always going to sound better than built-in coax/toslink connectors (as long as you don't do a double-blind test).- ttol

HE-300 might be worth a look, the few guys who have reported their initial impressions seem to agree that they are very easy to listen for extended periods.- ttol
