Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
But according to you those pair are sounds like 1700 and 5000$ ? :)))) Believe me, I wouldn't pay for them even 300$, I'm using it from time to time, just because my friend can not able to listen to them ... So the price doesn't meter, the price in case of headphone, is the last...- Juan Virgo

I use now AK120 and AK100 , via optical, checked with AK240 (sold), have not notice any difference, they gives the same optical output. (At least me and my friends can not notice any significant difference. The optical is preferred by me. A superb liquid and 3D sound. So much better then...- Juan Virgo

Ohhh... really ? Can or can not, let me decide, I never say I can judge , I just say that "the FR graph is a starting point", and company who produce a 700$ headphone for professionals and 1500$ for enthusiasts, if the company respects they customers, they must provide a prove of headphone...- Juan Virgo

Astell&Kern AK380
Wide and clear doors opening sound .... I usually made a test using bells, piano, clavier , voices... will try the doors now. This album sounds amazing. Actually, I also didn't like the Hugo by USB sound... The liquid 3D Hugo signature I only can find via optical input, Coax is also...- Juan Virgo

Astell&Kern AK380
Did you work in AK ? Very strange... the Hugo specs are much higher then AK380... SNR 140dB in Hugo vs 116dB in AK380 for example... All the speculations about a much (!!!) "wider soundstage" and "greater clarity" in this level of (portable) sound is such a Bu*7*^876... Just a new...- Juan Virgo

Never try the Audiorvana... But Amarra is the worst sounding software ever. 100% garbage. Much worse then free Vox and itunes. As you know the eq from ak daps is affecting the digital output. That can be the reason for the difference. The pro eq on ak120 for example, can ruin the sound.- Juan Virgo

Astell&Kern AK380
The difference could be equal to zero or very little. I think to be sure, a few people must check it. I talked about EQ difference, the sound signature must be the same. Hugo DAC does all the job. Again, it was very easy to make my friend to order a new 380 with an amp, he is on the...- Juan Virgo

In blind test 4 of 4 listeners could not find any difference between ak100/ak120+hugo vs 240+hugo. (that why I sold the ak240) I convinced my friend to get an AK380 + a new AK dedicated amp, so next month could post a true opinions. (the trasport test) I guess the difference could be...- Juan Virgo

It's very subjective. Could you prove it in some technical way ? Maybe you just ruined your hearing using an equalized and abnormal highs ? From my experience , HD600 is extremely good for classical/vocal/opera music- Juan Virgo
