No i did not. There were some sounds on certain songs that were tough to place on some headphones, and i was surprised i could decipher their placement on the rs1er so well, even with their odd frequency. One more observation i had was that i felt the rs1e was really poorly suited for metal.

It did not. Maybe it improved the sound in minor ways, but i never heard the other rs1e. The treble was recessed, and the sub-bass was flat out missing information and not quite there. The mids and soundstage were real nice though

If you dont mind a slight distortion to your vision, then wearing the glasses arms OVER the grado earpads will help with comfort. Its the only way i wear them, unless i have contacts in at the time.

I had polaris and i thought it was a great match for the lcd2. Then again, they might be used to bassier headphones? My other headphones are Grados so the lcd2 is on the bassier side for me.
