I know this thread is old, but I recently upgraded to the new T1s (4th gen), which sounds fabulous, even with the stock tube. A worthy upgrade from the older Aune T1 models.

I would add that unless you are getting a great deal on a used older unit, the T1s (ie, 4th gen) makes a lot more sense for the money these days than a mkII or mkIII.

The new 4th gen T1 apparently has upgraded capacitors (and DAC chip), so that might be an option to consider if you want upgrades but can’t solder. I’m definitely eyeing it.

The Apple watch app for iAudiogate is a nice touch and works well. I find it useful to not have to control the app from my phone, and I like it a lot better than headphone controls.
