Cayin N5ii Android based Master Quality Digital Audio Player
I have yeah, it is stuck in Balanced mode somehow (indicated by the BAL symbol in the status bar and the fact no sound comes out the 3.5mm) and toggling Audio priority mode on/off or plugging the 3.5mm jack in do not bypass this. I have heard back from Advanced MP3 now and am returning the...- TTSFR

Cayin N5ii Android based Master Quality Digital Audio Player
Thanks! Have replied to your PM with the serial number. Really annoyingly the player is now somehow stuck in Balanced mode. Is there a way I can bypass this so I can at least use it from the 3.5mm?- TTSFR

Cayin N5ii Android based Master Quality Digital Audio Player
The Balanced output has failed on my N5ii the same way other customers have seen. :triportsad: This morning the right channel dropped out intermittently and then when I went to test it this evening the jack broke away and is now rattling around inside the unit! I have contacted Advanced MP3...- TTSFR

Trinity Audio Engineering - What the future holds
I got the Balanced cable yesterday and it is also 3.5mm to 3.5mm so no use to me either. Waiting to hear back from Jake about why they are not 3.5mm to 2.5mm as was advertised. Can you suggest somewhere these are available from?- TTSFR

TRINITY - PHANTOM Series - New thread + WORLDS FIRST PUSH PULL HYBRID IEM!*
Masters should also come with Spinfits according to the website, so looks like they were missed too. Knowing first hand how amazing Jake and the team are I am sure if you email him they will get it sorted very quickly. I really want to know the situation with the 2.5mm TRRS cable! It was a...- TTSFR

It's great that Masters are starting to arrive. I can confirm order # has no correlation to delivery as I am #53XX ordered 19th DEC and Jake has confirmed my order will be shipped by next week. Did your Masters not come with a balanced cable? I am sure they were originally advertised...- TTSFR

Trinity Audio Engineering - What the future holds
Hi Bob, What's the situation for customers who ordered more than 1 pair of PM4's? If and how do we go about getting more than 1 pair at the trade up price? For example I ordered two sets, one for myself and one as a gift, unfortunately both pairs had issues, now mine have been resolved...- TTSFR

You look away from this thread for 24 hours and it goes berserk. I am very happy to hear the big update from @Bobtrinity, as one of the unlucky ones having QC issues with the Gunmetal PM4's, but also I like to think one of the lucky ones for getting to experience the amazing service Jake and...- TTSFR

Bob, I'm haven't pre-ordered the PM6 or Hunter but really enjoying my PM4's so nothing to cancel and reorder...... But I am another Trinity fan who would really love if you were able to offer a 2.5mm balanced cable, in the standard braided cable and perhaps in the Silver range?- TTSFR

I'm having the same issue, purple damped are unusable as they don't grip at all (just slide in and out) and others are hit and miss. Has anyone had any response from Jake or Bob on this problem? I emailed Jake last week but have not had a reply yet.- TTSFR

I use the Cayin N5 with the Delta VII's in balanced mode and they sound exceptional! I personally like how the Cayin warmth & musicality work with the Trinity sound sig. I can't wait to try the PM4's out with it, albeit in non-balanced mode as I doubt the balanced Delta cable I have will...- TTSFR

Perhaps there will be some sort of Bluetooth transmitter hub which houses the DAC/AMP/Memory hardware. A DAP was ruled out in an earlier post but I suppose this config could technically not be called a DAP....? (Wildly guessing now) I suppose this would mean that the above were just...- TTSFR

Alternative to HIFIMAN RE-600
I have just had the same experience as you with the HiFIMAN Re-600's, I have had two pairs fail in the space of 3 months so have decided to give up on them. Such a shame as I too loved the sound! Like you I am looking for an alternative now, how is your search going? What have you tried...- TTSFR

Cayin N5 DAP - Product Info (Post #2), Resources (Post #3) and Discussion
Hi Andy, Thanks for the advice. Coincidentally the Hifiman earphones were ones I had been interested in before I even discovered the N5. It just so happened I then realised the balance possibilities of the RE-600's. I will most likely use them non-balanced to see if they are right for me...- TTSFR

Cayin N5 DAP - Product Info (Post #2), Resources (Post #3) and Discussion
Hi All, I have just purchased and am eagerly awaiting delivery of an N5 and was wondering if anyone could help me with the following: I am considering purchasing some Hifiman RE-600's to make the most of the balanced output on the N5. The problem is the balanced out on the N5 is 2.5mm...- TTSFR

Balanced portable DAP?
I am looking to moving back to a DAP from a portable DAC (via tablet) setup and am currently looking into the Cayin N5 and HiFiMan RE-400b or RE-600's to go with it and make the most of the balanced output. I notice you've owned both of these two so wondered if you had tried them together...- TTSFR

Considering a move back to a DAP from portable DAC
I am confident all of the DAP's I am considering will power my IEMs or headphones. My concern is around the overall quality I will get from a DAP compared to the android/dedicated DAC which sounds very impressive. Surely a 100 quid player like the X1 won't compete with the several hundred...- TTSFR

Considering a move back to a DAP from portable DAC
It is very much an on the move system for me used on my daily train commute (another problem with the Glacier is the RFI signals it picks up which causes a lot of interference noise when on a train surrounded by people using mobile phones!). I mostly use IEM's (about to order a set of Shure...- TTSFR

Considering a move back to a DAP from portable DAC
Hi All, First post so go easy. A few months ago I made the move from a Cowon J3 to an Apex Glacier DAC with an android tablet as the source. While the sound quality jump is really impressive and I really enjoy the Glacier the practicality of the rig compared to a dedicated DAP is...- TTSFR
