If you like the sound, than probably no need to upgrade. But you can try to visit some audio saloon, and ask if it is possible to bring you phones, and to listen to their gear. Than you'll be able to make a final decision,  is it wroth to upgrade. To me X7 has definitely not the best headphone...

What about Audeze LCD-3 ? With proper amp those can go down into infrasonic, maintaining the sound at ear splitting volume undistorted.

Stock OFC cable is fine quality. The third party cables can to benefit in case if the conductors are silver plated. The benefit mostly is the long time reliability. Of course silver still better conductor than the copper, but within the audio frequency's range  the effect is very small.

The channel crosstalk of DA8 ll is about 130dB, THD =0.0002% - well below the threshold level of some audio analysers. I`m just can't to imagine how it can to destroy or to alter the stereo image. That DAC will benefit from usage with the dual mono amp, or 2 separate mono blocks.
