Earmax Pro over MF and Lehmann
Earmax Pro, X-Can V3 and Lehmann Black Cube Linear Two very good head phone amps – and a spectacular one. 1. The short version I sometimes get carried away. So if you can’t be bothered to read through all of this, here it is in a nutshell: The spectacular one is the Earmax Pro, which...- jornfin

Sennnheiser HD 650 Upgrade: Silver Dragon V2 vs. Zu Mobius
After quite a while with the SD, I agree. Refinement is a good term, but only describes part of the process. I'd say the spectrum was evened out, from a slight over emphasis of the treble to a great balance throughout. With my new triode amp (Earmax Pro) the bass is cavernous! Combined with the...- jornfin

Sennnheiser HD 650 Upgrade: Silver Dragon V2 vs. Zu Mobius
Hello there, glad you liked the review. In retrospective, I wondered did I make the Mobius sound too bad? I wouldn't want that. As I said, I used to love it myself. Now, as for your questions. Unfortunately, I never had a first gen. Silver Dragon. Many reviewers have pointed out some flaws it... -

Hello there, a signal passing from A to B will never be better (purer, less distorted) at B. What I mean is, the brightness, harshness, etc. might stem from your source. Low and midprice CD or DVD -players hardly ever sound natural. The better headphones might just be revealing the limitations...- jornfin

NYC Mini Meet 11-20-05
Hello! I am really interested in the RP 5.1. Unfortunately, tehy only come with a 7 day money back guarantee, which is to little for burn in. I am using a X-Can V3 now and want to upgrade. I am testing the Lehmann amp at the moment, and it does everything better than the X-Can, only it lacks...- jornfin
