So, after thinking about it for some time (and losing my Klipsch IEMs), I purchased a pair of Hifiman RE-600s off of the classified ads on here.  I must say, after several days with them, I am very satisfied!  They sound absolutely amazing!

The cones are pretty shredded.  These aren't particularly expensive speakers.  In fact, my dad got them for free.  So I may just send them home and bring up another pair.  We have like 6 at the house.  

So, the woofers in my JBL 2600s recently busted. Should I replace them, or just get some new speakers? We've got several decent pairs back home.

I really do use my IEMs so much. I would definitely like to get a new pair. My S4 have done me well for over 4 years, but I may want an upgrade.

Now that I've spent several weeks in college, I now see the absolute truth in your statement.  Which is why I'm thinking about getting IEMs, at least a nicer pair than my five-year-old Klipschs.

Yeah.  My dad uses an SX-780 I believe, with the turntable at home.  It works very well with that, though I've never used my HD600 with it though.

I've actually have a Pioneer SX-550 for my dorm, and I absolutely love it!  It does go great with the HD600.

While the proportion is quite odd, they do look much nicer than Beats or the other popular college cans.  A friend of mine does use some Sennheiser HD419s though.

While all those are great headphones, you can find good used HD600s for around half the price of the 400i.  That's what I did, and I am very happy with mine.
