^^^ Exactly. That doesn't go to say there is not better headphones in the price range, but a lot of people don't realize they require an amp.- tromboneguy1994

Beats 2 worth it?
They sound better than the originals, but still not worth the price in my opinion. But, as it's been said, buy whatever you like.- tromboneguy1994

Looking for over ear under $200
I have the M50's and love them. Can't be beat for the price if you ask me, especially used. In my opinion the bass is just a bit more pronounced than neutral.- tromboneguy1994

I used the 6 plus for a white before I got my X5 and the difference was negligible; at least to me.- tromboneguy1994

Is the difference between them night and day? I really enjoy the tight bass of the 846s, will that still be present with the...- tromboneguy1994

Same here. I just think there comes a point to where you have to step back and really look at what your doing when you start to look at multi thousand dollar amps and cables haha- tromboneguy1994

Yeah, I bought the Shure replacement cable for an Android phone and it works quite well with some cheap ear clips I got off of Amazon.- tromboneguy1994

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
I'm not a real big fancy cable believer either, but it does appear to be more visually appealing and more comfortable. That's a big deal with these ear phones because many find the stock cable to be extremely uncomfortable around the ears (including me). If it gives a slight quality bump in...- tromboneguy1994
