    My Westone UM2 Dilema

I use Spotify Premium (320 kbps) most of the time. I just downloaded an equalizer for it and I'll see if I can find something I like.  I keep running across the TF10 on various threads. Everybody seems to really like them but I'm worried that I won't get a good seal with them.

    My Westone UM2 Dilema

I have been a long time reader of head-fi and went through a series of ~$100 IEMS after reading various threads. My first decent pair of IEMs were the Shure EC2s. I thought they were alright but I have unfortunately small ears so they would not stay in my ears (and I hadn't yet discovered comply...

    music library size compression

I will most likely be getting an iPod touch when it comes out, but as you probably know its flash memory is lacking in size, so in order to fit most of my music and some videos I will need to compress the size of some of my songs. Using Audacity's compressor effect I get roughtly half the file...

Windows too loud on my AT a700 and westone UM1

I have Audio-Technica A700's and when using them on my computer (and ipod) everything is way to loud. The only way to make it decent is to have everything on the lowest setting. Do you know how I can make them quiter (computer more important than ipod)

    UM1 vs (A500 vs A700)

But, I will also be listening to music, and last night I was reading around and now it sounds like the Sennheiser HD555's will sound better for music and are almost as good for gaming, is this true

    UM1 vs (A500 vs A700)

This is kind of 2 questions: A) For gaming, mainly CS, I am looking for great positional headphones. But, I will also listen to music on them and from what I have read the a700's are considerably better in that respect from what I have read (sorry, I know there are already alot of threads...

    STATIC

I have the westone UM1's that I use with my iPod and with the sound really low or paused there is a little static sound. I also notice this with my old AKG's and Senheisser HD477's. I read around for a while and it looks like a sound attentuator or in line volume adjuster will do the trick. Is...

    The Westone UM1/UM2 Appreciation Thread

I just got the UM1's and I also have the e2c's. I love them both, but the UM1 is clearly better. I never have been able to get the e2c's to fit in my ears, infact the only thing that will even stay in my ear is the smallest foam one because I have small ears. But, the tips that come with the UM1...
