Still waiting for out-of-the-box support for dlna/smb support. Just play back files from a share, that’s all I want. I now use Sony’s Hi-Res Audio Player for windows on my laptop.

Yes they are really small and pretty irl. The comfort was superb.

The headphones sounded clear and clean, flatter than my D9200s, which sound more ‘exciting’ (which is something you like or not). The Yamahas sounded truer and more relaxed than the D9200s. I played ‘safe passage’ from The Last Samurai. The 9200s give more of an emotional impact.l, but perhaps...

Thanks for the heads-up. I am going to that show saturday. For the demo, I had to submit a form with my reasoning and three titles I wanted to listen. I had a hard time picking three.

There are more reports of loose pads here on this forum. I returned my first pair because of this issue. The second had this issue too. I swapped the left and right pads and now they fit better.

I think that when the sound of headphones must be 'fixed' with a cable, there is something wrong with the headphones.

Since my unit (pha-3ac) was randomly switching itself off and back on again, I replaced the battery. Unfortunately, the same thing happens with the new battery! I tried to clean the volume potentiometer, but no improvements there, I can live with that, but not with the off-switching fault...

It's nice to have a 1:1 rip of your CDs for archiving, in case your CD get scratched or worse.

Strangly, the PHA-1AEU (which I have), the european version of the PHA-1A, doesn't seem to have a volume cap. I haven't tested it, but at low gain, it goes louder than I'm comfortable with, and at high gain, I'm afraid I blow up my AH-D9200s and Z7s. HD600s would be a better candidate for that...
