SONY NW-ZX700
I guess Philips went into cameras (broadcast) too, with BTS: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadcast_Television_Systems_Inc. Later it was a part of Grass Valley. I've seen both companies (Grass Valley and Sony) at the IBC, but Sony always have the biggest stands. They also showed the mentioned...- Roland P

Review Tago Studio T3-01
Any more experiences/comparisons on these? I had a brief listen to these a while ago. I'm really intrigued by these since they had just a relaxing sound and did nothing wrong :). Also, they are priced very reasonable, although definitly not cheap. I did find the following reviews...- Roland P

Yamaha YH-5000SE — a flagship from an orthodynamic headphones veteran!
😁 like you see in the previous post, I did write something up. That said, it was more of a presentation than a good audition. There were a total of 6 people who were invited for the session. The session took place in the room where they demoed their speakers. They would keep their speakers...- Roland P

Yamaha YH-5000SE — a flagship from an orthodynamic headphones veteran!
The headphones sounded clear and clean, flatter than my D9200s, which sound more ‘exciting’ (which is something you like or not). The Yamahas sounded truer and more relaxed than the D9200s. I played ‘safe passage’ from The Last Samurai. The 9200s give more of an emotional impact.l, but perhaps...- Roland P

I feel the pressure 😀. I’ll try to make some pictures, it depends on how they organise the demo of course. The demo is at 1pm (gmt+1). So maybe they have it on display before the demo, then I can take pictures without hurry.- Roland P

Thanks for the heads-up. I am going to that show saturday. For the demo, I had to submit a form with my reasoning and three titles I wanted to listen. I had a hard time picking three.- Roland P

There are more reports of loose pads here on this forum. I returned my first pair because of this issue. The second had this issue too. I swapped the left and right pads and now they fit better.- Roland P

I think that when the sound of headphones must be 'fixed' with a cable, there is something wrong with the headphones.- Roland P

SONY NWZ-A10 Series
I have the A15 and the ZX300 (which has the same UI as the A55?). I prefer the A15 for its UI. I don’t like the touch screen controls of the new Walkmans. I always use file playback. With the A15, while playback,I can browse through the menus, go back to the playback screen, and when I hit...- Roland P

Sony PHA-3 balanced portable dac/amp
Since my unit (pha-3ac) was randomly switching itself off and back on again, I replaced the battery. Unfortunately, the same thing happens with the new battery! I tried to clean the volume potentiometer, but no improvements there, I can live with that, but not with the off-switching fault...- Roland P

Sony Walkman Thread: 2022 Successors to the WM1A & WM1Z
Strangly, the PHA-1AEU (which I have), the european version of the PHA-1A, doesn't seem to have a volume cap. I haven't tested it, but at low gain, it goes louder than I'm comfortable with, and at high gain, I'm afraid I blow up my AH-D9200s and Z7s. HD600s would be a better candidate for that...- Roland P
