  I'm absolutely loving mine (with G cushions as others are saying). I'm not sure that it's a bad sign that there are some still in stock. If Grado made 1000 GH1 and there were still 900 in stock that would be surprising I guess, but even then it's not like they'll perish like fruit or...

Thanks Andy - like I say it's not a loud 'pop' but I would just add that it's not the headphones I'm using as it's the same whichever I try...it almost sounds like an old record player reaching the end of a disc and the needle lifting off the track

Is it possible, @sling5s, to say whether cushion material is relevant to that or is it that a larger cushion moves the driver away from the ear or changes isolation? I'm not being facetious (honestly!) just curious about whether only Grado-brand cushions would lead to such strong differences...
