Sennheiser Momentum VS V-MODA M-100??
They both sound good unamped. Way better than m100. I really like the sound of the grados. Sr80e sound better than headphones three times their price. I have sr225i also. They sound better amped of course, but the sr80e i can take around and not wory about them because they cost less than 100$!- ewbjorndal

Sennheiser Momentum VS V-MODA M-100??
I like the momentum sound a lot better than the v moda. Vmoda bass is hot garbage even amped and the treble was gross too. Momentum have slightly less bass but it's better to my ears. Cleaner and warmer sound I think. Ive heard people go the opposite way though. But having both, I sold the...- ewbjorndal

Sennheiser Momentum VS V-MODA M-100??
Opinions differed so much on these that I bought both and a/b'd them for a month. I guess it's just a matter of opinion. I personally think they sound cleaner and are a better buy at half the price. But I've heard plenty of people that would go the other way. On a side note, I'm not sure ive...- ewbjorndal

Sennheiser Momentum VS V-MODA M-100??
Sure thing. I a/b'd them for like a month and really didn't find the momentums had much less bass. I hope you find the same! I should also note I use a portable amp with a bass boost. Fiio e11 kilimanjaro (I think i got it for like $50 or something). They still sound good unamped, but I like the...- ewbjorndal

Sennheiser Momentum VS V-MODA M-100??
That is a big price jump.... I was thinking they were less for some reason. Maybe I'll just hang on to my momentums! I guess it depends how important bigger ear pads and having them fold up are to you. To go back to your original two choices, I would take the momentums over the v moda. The...- ewbjorndal

Sennheiser Momentum VS V-MODA M-100??
I would go for the Momentum 2. Price is closer to the v-moda but they have the sound and the portability you're looking for from how they review. I already sold my m100 and am planning on getting them as soon as my momentums sell.- ewbjorndal

Grado Fan Club!
Have to add my Grado love to this thread. I've had my 225i's for a while now and they are like ear magic for vinyl. So smooth and open. They always transport me into the music rather than into a critique of the sound signature like so many other headphones do.- ewbjorndal

Sennheiser Momentum or Sony MDR-1R
To add my two cents, i have them both and I would say that the momentum sounds more accurate and warm while the mdr sounds more open and airy and is a lot more comfortable. I like the sound of the momentums more, but find myself putting on the mdrs more often because they are so nice and comfy...- ewbjorndal

Sennheiser Momentum VS V-MODA M-100??
In case anyone is still interested in this thread like me... I'm currently trying to decide between these two, and they have been different enough that I think I'll keep both. To restate a lot that has been said on this thread, the momentum over ears are a lot more accurate and open sounding...- ewbjorndal

Grado SR225 Thread
This looks like an old thread, but I love my 225i's so bloody much I had to add to it. They bring a smile to my face every time I put them on. They are imho the perfect set for vinyl sessions.- ewbjorndal

Grado BASSHEAD Mod....
Crazy, I'm tempted to give it a shot. Simple and reversible... my 225i's are my vinyl phones right now, but next time I have a hankering for some bass I'll a/b them with my m100's and see what happens.- ewbjorndal

New Member Introductions thread
Hello audiophiles. I'm in the middle of headphone tryouts and kept ending up back here, so i thought i might as well join. Ultimate Ears 700 Appreciation Thread!
For the price you can pick these up for now, I think they are worth a try. I paid 75 for a NIB pair and I'm pretty happy. I also knew what I was looking for. I didn't want a basshead set, I have one of those. That said, amped with my kilimonjaro, they produce a great sound and more bass that I...- ewbjorndal
