Emotiva BasX A-100 plans, good enough?
Hey all! Currently on a Topping MX3 with DT770's and Sennheiser 58X's. I love the Topping because it offers a speaker amp and a headphone amp in the same package, and it runs my mid-ish-fi stuff pretty well! I love the idea of the BasX A-100 because of the ability to push high end headphones...- HiddenFatKid

Crack;Bottlehead OTL
I don't think i'll change too much, a VU meter would just be for aesthetics most likely, do you have any pots or capacitors in mind?- HiddenFatKid

Crack;Bottlehead OTL
So I've pretty much decided to get the crack, and later add the speedball upgrade, with hopefully either a tung sol 5998 or a chatham 2399 tube and gold lion tubes. Before building the crack, is there any parts that i should upgrade before building (like better caps, a stepped attenuator, pots...- HiddenFatKid

awesome! it'll be a while before i get the 800's, but would you recommend getting the speedball or tube roll with something like the tung sol 5998 first?- HiddenFatKid

Where to find nice braided RCA cables?
So with my desk setup, I'd like to find some nice, flexible, braided RCA cables. The way my amps are connected to the DAC, there are a few twists and turns around other equipment to get there. Where would i be able to find some nice, not-too-expensive, braided RCA cables, like 3+ feet? Thanks!- HiddenFatKid

Crack;Bottlehead OTL
I feel that man, I like a darker sound signature, but not too dark. Im coming from Hifiman HE-400's, so im trying to expand my tastes and i just fell in love with the 600's like most people do, but if the DT-150's have the sound signature of the 650's or close to the HE-400's, that might be an...- HiddenFatKid

Crack;Bottlehead OTL
Yes please man! That'd be awesome! The one thing holding me back from pulling the trigger once i get the crack is that clamping force, I like the looks of them, cable might be a little long, but it sounds like quite a package, and obscure too, ive never seen someone with these- HiddenFatKid

Crack;Bottlehead OTL
Honestly, I love the look of the DT-150's, i'd never heard of them until ScottFW mentioned them, and looking them up, they're some rugged look cans man, i can dig it! The only thing im seeing is clamping force may be a bit of an issue, couple years ago i had to sell my AT m50's real quick...- HiddenFatKid

Crack;Bottlehead OTL
So im planning on getting a crack this summer, I have HD600's and i've been looking around for a pair of closed backs that would benefit from the Crack. Besides the DT770/1770 line, what other closed backs would benefit from the crack?- HiddenFatKid

What closed back headphones to pair with the Bottlehead Crack + Speedball upgrade?
So I fell in love the the Senny HD650 + Crack combo, and i think i'll keep the 650's until i can afford some 800's, i was fortunate enough to listen to them paired at a friends place, and i can definitely say they're my end-game (for now). I was wondering what would be a good pairing of...- HiddenFatKid

Schiit Fulla 2 Impressions Thread
I was looking at the Fulla 2, and I was wondering if it'd have enough power to Drive Hifiman HE-400's and MrSpeakers Mad Dogs? I love the form factor of this little rig and if it could drtive those 2 sets of cans it'd be perfect for me- HiddenFatKid

Beyer DT770 Pro/ 80 Detachable cable MOD
Hey guys! I just picked up some DT770 pro 250's for $75, they have a broken cable, it doesn't have a connector on the end to put into an amp or anything. So i thought it was perect for this mod!
