What you describe sounds fine. I do not know though whether the PRII headphone amp will drive the Epos speakers (I doubt it).

I Have been using the HD-600's with a McIntosh C42 preamplifier for 5 years. I recently got an RSA HR-2 and it definitlely sounds much better than the jack on the C42. The Senn's now are better to my ears than my Stax Lambda Pro's
