Well, you do get better channel matching with better resistors due to the better tolerance, and metal films have less drift (thermoelectric distortion) and since you're aren't exactly using more than 10 for a Cmoy, they should be chump change for anyone. Why not?

Well it all depends on how many PWM phases a particular UPS has, more phases means more accurate AC conversion and approximation. High end ones having up to 6 which makes it pretty impressive.
