FiiO FH5 - Quad Driver Hybrid In-Ear Monitors || Knowles Balanced Armature Drivers
I noticed on your review you mention the FLC8S fall out despite the wire hook in the cable. That cable is actually the problem. I have a pair of IT01's and with the iBasso cable, no issues. I recently got a new phone case and the iBasso cable doesn't fit. I hooked up my SE215 cable to the IT01's...- psedog

Is there any driver flex when you insert them in your ears? That's my biggest complaint with the IT01's.- psedog

FiiO FH5 - Quad Driver Hybrid In-Ear Monitors || Knowles Balanced Armature Drivers
The bass is what makes the SE846. Sure's have always had midrange as well, but typically lack on the treble. Sehnnheisers on the other hand typically lack on bass but have the treble on point. It's a preference thing. I've yet to hear anything with subwoofer like bass as good as the 846's. I'm...- psedog

Enjoying the iBasso IT01's. Great $100 headphones. Their IT04's are priced to high for me to consider. Now I see these HF5's. Thought, another $500 headphone :triportsad: Read the thread... $260.. I can get down with that. After losing my SE846's I can't justify paying that much...- psedog

Review by 'psedog' on item 'ADVANCED Accessport'
Before I bring up the bad, let me say that this adapter/DAC has great sound quality. No hiss even with sensitive IEMs. No Cell phone interference or charger whine. But, I don't think they are worth the asking $60 price. Here is why. I've had these since the pre-order deliveries went out last...- psedog

iBasso IT01 a fun IEM. Single multilayered graphene driver. !! 99 USD !!
I've never really been a believer in expensive cables. I really wanted to see how much of a difference the IT01's are compared to SE215's. I didn't expect it to be so close once I switched cables. The IT01's are a little easier to drive so I had to balance it towards the SE215's. The midrange is...- psedog

Sounds good. I'lll keep them running. Hopefully the midrange doesn't come too strong as that's what the Shure's are good for.- psedog

Also, I don't think they are as bright as my Sennheiser IE-80's (which I think are a bit too bright and I gave them to my wife, lol)- psedog

Just received my IT01's. Burned them on medium volume for a little over 8 hours before placing them in my ears. I was a sceptic, but Head-Fi hasn't steered me wrong yet, so I took the dive. I have to admit that they sound pretty dang good. Unfortunately you can definitely hear the diaphragm flex...- psedog

Review of Audio Technica ATH-CKR9 & ATH-CKR10
Just listened to the 9's and 10's in the store. In Japan most electronic stores have a variety of headphones on display that you can actually listen to. Some even let you connect your own device. They sound amazing. Better than all the other iems they had on display and most cans as well. If...- psedog

True. Ohms don't represent everything. Obviously the stiffness plays a huge factor. High ohms are going to be hard for most headphone jacks to power without an external amp.- psedog

Domo. It's getting there :) I discovered head-fi a number of years ago and subscribed to the YouTube channel. I wish I had that guys budget. I've gone back and forth for a while on whether to get a headphone amp or not. Instead I've only purchased only easy to drive headphones (i.e. low ohms)- psedog

I've been lurking the forums for years and just realized I didn't have an account. Current headphones. Shure SE-215 SE-846 (currently misplaced hope to God in the house) SRH-440 with 940 pads. Sennheiser IE-80 with silver cables.- psedog
