Yes, I can actually test the WS99 (not very easily) in Australia's isolated desert. It would be appreciated though if you could test, but only if you benefit.. Very true statement about the smartphones. BTW, if you're interested, you could test out 'Perth's flagship' Bluetooth headphones...

I searched but I couldn't find any solid evidence that the WS99 and WS99BT (in wired mode) are the same. I looked at the specs for both on their respective Audio technica websites and they are slightly different. I'm guessing they fine tuned the Bluetooth ones and they might sound slightly...

BTW my A900 has less than 5cm inner diameter but still the most comfy headphones I've ever used, extremely so. That's not saying a lot though as I haven't tried on very many.

I was going to buy off ebay as I'm familiar with it but then I decided to go through Amazon as their are some iffy sellers on ebay. How did you purchase yours?

Ah yes, sorry about the inverting of terms. I'm in Perth, Australia unfortunately. My ears are roughly between 6-7cm (using online ruler) Don't get me wrong, I love bass also! If there was no bass it would be absolutely horrible. Considering I've been happy with my Audio technicas, I'll...

I may buy an adapter if it's worth it for myself, but will see how I go first. About buying an aptx enabled headphones, it should be good for future proofing, if I ever use it at its peak, so I would prefer them but I don't really want them to sound worse than the two you have recommended...

Good to know. Are there even any smartphones with APTX-LL? I use mxplayer a lot and I'm sure it has the option to fine tune the 'latency'...

I don't know much about hi res/lossless flac files and if I'm listening to music it will be in mp3 format. I will mainly be watching content (some of it 'similar' to blueray format.. ) on my smartphone (Nexus 6) which does not have aptx. (one of the main reasons for purchasing the Nexus was for...

I'm no audiophile by any means (I'm comfortable watching moving with the in-earphones that ship with Samsung smartphones and I'm happy to listen to music on terrible vehicle speakers). Saying that, I still find it disconcerting that I won't be receiving the maximum enjoyment by not having aptx...

I have the Audio Technica ATH-A900 and I think these are amazing. I'm contemplating on buying the WS99BT. Are they just as comfortable as each other? (comfort for 5hs+ is what I'm after and the A900 do the job perfectly) Also I'm going to be pairing with my smartphone the Nexus 6. This (for...
