To answer your 2nd question, the jack issue is the jacks being loose due to having a gap. This has caused issues with some people. To the extent of the shield coming off... There is a mini mod you can you. You can apply acrylic to fill the gap and solve the issue.- Travv801

I haven't put the v10 through the ropes yet. I just got a 200gb card and I'm going through my library filling it up. Also pruning as I go... So it's become a long process. One thing I don't like is the screen scratches pretty easily. Just from being in my pocket and what not for 2 days, it...- Travv801

I just bought a v10 for 350. I'm still considering a DP-X1. Compared to other DAP's, the DP-X1 is a screaming value if you can pick it up for under 650USD- Travv801

Why is it not worth much more than $600? Are you saying that because of the specs provided, or what it's currently selling for in other locations of the world?- Travv801

No worries. I saw there was a mystery bag still available yesterday and jumped on it with the discount. I cancelled my order of the He400i + X1. Hope I get a 400i in the mystery box ;)- Travv801

I assume you'd be safe MadGTI. Edit: only reason it wouldn't is if they're using bad quality products in the device or something isn't soldered right.- Travv801

The Astell & Kern AK240
I posted about this a few weeks ago. Mine did the same thing when playing dense files for an hour +. if they're build similar to computer components, they can handle extreme heat. I assume they'll error out and say the device is too hot and needs to cool. i've made an ipod touch error out with...- Travv801

I might check out the C3 if I can get one for cheap. I wouldn't be against having a basket full of players in the 50-60 dollar range in search of the perfect player for my needs. Always have backups when they break- Travv801

The Astell & Kern AK240
Depends on what activity. I'm thinking of picking up a x3 gen 2 and can keep that in a pocket as I trail run/speed hike. Not too afraid to get that thing thrown around in my pocket. I'm thinking of picking up a mini player (don't know what one) for rock climbing. Just something to clip on a...- Travv801

Giving this thread a days notice, I'll be listing my AK240 for sale tomorrow on the forum. It'll be the lowest I've seen on the forum. If you're interested, pm me. The Astell & Kern AK240
My philosophy of firmware updates is don't update it if you're satisfied with its current state. When I bought mine, the previous owner had 1.15 still on it and I updated it and didn't notice any distinguishable difference... But I was using phone IEM's so I didn't expect to hear a...- Travv801

New release - the AKG K553 Pro - featuring a killer Massdrop deal
I've used my pair for about 3 hours now and I'll probably end up selling them. Not because they're bad, they're actually really awesome. I'm very happy with the sound and the quality. The only issue is my ears must be too big as they're touching the inside surface and causing some soreness :p ...- Travv801

I'd be using them more for noise isolation. Wish I had a local place to try the M2's... would make the decision a lot easier. I think I'll buy the QC25's regardless because of the price.- Travv801

I can potentially get QC25's for about 160 USD. Would you suggest getting getting a pair of those, or spend over double for the momentum 2.0?- Travv801
