LG G6 Sound Quality
Indeed, that's the one I have in mind. From what I've read, if you're on the go, it's the one to go for period. I'll still have to wait a few weeks until I sell the bluetooth headset I got, or pay my overdrafted credit card.- VeggiePopper

LG G6 Sound Quality
Haha, no, I'm from Mexico. Still, no Quad DAC. After a few days, here are my impressions of the vanilla G6 so far: The amp is really powerful, it can get really loud. Unfortunately the DAC isn't up to snuff: go past 60%, and the sound starts to distort. At full volume, it reaches deafening...- VeggiePopper

LG G6 Sound Quality
The V30 has not even been released in my country. In the meantime, the V20 is for some reason, way more expensive than the G6. So, as much as I have dreamed of getting a V series device since the original V10, I'll have to wait a little longer. I wish I could wait a few months to save more...- VeggiePopper

LG G6 Sound Quality
Has anybody tried the international version of the G6? As it is now, I cannot afford paying the phone full price plus shipping costs, and my carrier is having a promo with the device approximately $80 off, plus a free LG Pro Tone bluetooth headset, a cover case and screen crack insurance for 6...- VeggiePopper

Sennheiser debuts a bunch of new headphones at IFA
In the Momentum thread, there were several similar opinions claiming that the Momentum over-ear (either the original or the M2) sound like a closed HD650, there should be a reason why this opinion is so constant.- VeggiePopper

Sennheiser debuts a bunch of new headphones at IFA
Ironically enough, most people praise the original 518/558/598 earpads, while to me, sometimes they get itchy; also, because of the rounded edges, they don't seal well. On the other side, the 569 earpads look much more comfy, and the flat surface surely makes them seal better. I bet these...- VeggiePopper

LG Quadbeat 3 Impressions Thread
Boy do the QB3 arw good for exercise. Those are the best IEMs I've ever uswd when excercising. They are comfy to wear and they never fall off, which is one of the main issues I have when looking for something to work out with.- VeggiePopper

Sennheiser debuts a bunch of new headphones at IFA
The HD599 looks very elegant (except for that belt buckle, but whatever), but for that price, I expect it to sound better than the HD600, which doesn't seem to be the case. Although Sennheiser has not clarified whether the new 5x9 uses the same drivers as the 5x8 series or not, there are some...- VeggiePopper

Sennheiser MOMENTUM Review
At 90 euros, it's a steal. Last year, even after the M2 was released, the cheapest I could get them for was $230. Just make sure it's not a fake one, I read that the red and black model heavily suffers from lots of fakes goind around.- VeggiePopper

Read again they review. They spent they entre review criticising they lack of a carrying case and a remote control, and they they take away SEVERAL points just because if this, as if suddenly portability was more importante than sound quality and confort. They are not objective, because they...- VeggiePopper

Are You sure that's a "pro" review? The way they repeteadly complain about how "poor" the HD598 performs on the go because of its unforgivable mistake of being open-backed, non-foldable and with no in-line controls, makes it look like they intended to review a pair of fashion headphones and...- VeggiePopper

I don't know the actual specs, but people say that one of the best pairings for the 598 is the Schitt Magni2 and Modi2 stack. Double benefit since it's very budget-friendly: you can have a champion DAC/amp combo for 200 bucks. If you want to add tubes, you can replace the Magni for the Vali for...- VeggiePopper

Meet the HD 598 Special Edition
LazyListener Remember I said back then, when I had the chance to compare the two models, that the only difference I noticed was that the ivories I tested had metal screws while my SE have plastic screws? Well, it turns out I was wrong. It's metal screws just as well, but the black matte...- VeggiePopper

Did you tear apart the cloth,or did you manage to save it for a possible undo? Also, some pics would be nice. I couldn't remove the spiderweb-like brace, so I gave up with the mod (otherwise, I would have needed to tear the cloth). I might try it again later, though.- VeggiePopper

However, at the start of every review there is a banner that says, "Version" or something like that, that specifies which version of the product was purchased by the reviewer, so even though the reviews are placed together, each individual review makes it clear which version that particular...- VeggiePopper

Nevertheless, the guy who did it say that, while not much of an upgrade, there WAS indeed some improvement (IIRC, he reported airier treble and a more accurate soundstage), if only so slightly. Also, with the driver fully exposed, a la HD600-800, the modded 598 look really sexy. Also, like...- VeggiePopper

The only mod that I know is the soundstage mod by removing the cloth with the "S" logo. However, after it was reported by one user in here, it was never talked about again. I attempted to do it a few days ago, but I nearly ruined my headphones so I gave up. The guy who did it said there was not...- VeggiePopper
