Small apartment setup. Budget. Simple.
In my opinion, if you are looking for two speakers in one room, your best bet would be a basic stereo receiver like this http://m.usa.yamaha.com/products/audio-visual/hi-fi-components/stereo-receivers/r-s202.htmlone from Yamaha, and a pair of passive bookshelf speakers. This stereo receiver...- kobe22

Previously had UE TF10, looking for sub $400 CIEM or IEM
The Noble Audio 3U is worth looking into, at $350. I own it and have been very impressed with it's soundstage (for an IEM) and overall sound. It can easily be driven out of a phone or Macbook and is very comfortable. Plus Noble Audio has some of the best customer service around.- kobe22

Would you prefer passive or active speakers? Also what kind of sound signature do you prefer? That could help give a better idea of what you are looking for- kobe22

New user looking for entry level headphones :)
Definitely buy a product they have in Brazil, because as you said o imposto is ridiculous over there, and they could be damaged while shipping. Also make sure that your headphones have a low impedance so that they can be driven by your phone/laptop- kobe22

Best Bass/Semi-Open headphones for under 200 CAD?
I can't really give you an opinion on either of those as I have never heard them, but the 598 is considered by many to be a bass-light headphone- kobe22

Best Bass/Semi-Open headphones for under 200 CAD?
Haha I had just assumed justin bieber trading cards were used as currency in Canada ;) But yeah there is always some level of risk involved in buying used, just try to be sure the seller has good feedback and the headphones haven't been used too heavily. I actually bought my DT 990 used and...- kobe22

Best Bass/Semi-Open headphones for under 200 CAD?
There is a 32 ohm version that wouldn't require an amp, but it might be outside of your budget. The 250 ohm pro version tends to be the cheapest, but IMO it requires an amp to get the most out of it. It will for sure still work without an amp, but it just won't sound as good. I bought a used...- kobe22

500$ Desktop setup for gamer/bass lover
It should be sufficient to power those headphones. Here is a useful website for that type of stuff! Although I am not sure how accurate it is haha. But as stated before, audio is an extremely subjective thing. What sounds good to you might not sound good to another person. ...- kobe22

500$ Desktop setup for gamer/bass lover
I have the Magni/Modi setup with the DT990 250 Ohm and can say it sounds fantastic. The soundstage with the Modi and the DT 990 is incredible. My only complaint with this setup is the treble can hurt my ears on certain songs, although this problem may not arise with the 600 ohm version.- kobe22

Orthos for bassheads? Or something else
I own the HE 400, and while the bass is good, I just don't think it has the bass impact that I think you are looking for. IMO it's very difficult to find that sort of bass in any open-backed headhpone- kobe22
