New Inear Prophile-8
Very true.. I'm in dilemma between the two. Waiting for my pre-ordered SD 4 but after another listening session now I'm thinking of switching to PP8. Both are good and a beauty in its own respective signature.- musixs

New Inear Prophile-8
Placed an order to SD4 initially and it's still otw. But out of curiosity went to try the PP8 again. Now I'm in delemma myself between the two. The SD4 is like being in a live concert (back stage position). I could feel the ambience of a concert hall performance. However perhaps due to the heavy...- musixs

[Review] InEar StageDiver 4, a high-end universal IEM!
Just bought my SD4 through a local dealer for $715 USD. Tried the P8, SD3, SE846 Shure and a few others beautiful IEM. I thought the SD4 is the best value for money with the right expectation and taste for me. It has a wide enough soundstage (out of head effect), clear and punchy bass. Though...- musixs

The Leben CS300XS Thread
"Be warned though, once you start with Leben you might get curious about that other brand called Shindo..." log0's suggestion seems interesting. I wonder how the Shindo would sounds. So thus the DeVore's series. It's too bad that there isn't a local dealer here to approach to. I've also...- musixs

The Leben CS300XS Thread
Initially bought the 300XS for my LCD-X. Then got curious with the HD800. The Sennheiser is like a "speaker" put near on to your ears. I did hear the hum but it has not really been a big issue for me. After sometimes, I got bored with headphones and tried to find a matching speaker for the amp...- musixs

Audeze LCD-X
I share the same thought as bmichels. Been listening my LCD-X and HD 800 through my Leben 300XS tube amp. I prefer the Sennheiser - Leben combination more than the X. Haven't got the chance to compare the LCD-X with a proper s/s amp though. Used to listen the X with Thorem 720 DAC. They sounded...- musixs

DACS Compatible with Synology nas directly with USB
Hi Roseval, your insight got me intrigued and so I watched some videos at you tube on the subject. Particularly the one by Martin Mallison. Since I can't ask Martin on the subject, perhaps I should try with you then. If you don't mind sharing further... Questions for you: 1. With...- musixs

DACS Compatible with Synology nas directly with USB
My experience with the NAS system is new and there are yet other possibilities that I'm still eager to find out. However just like to share some thought on it, which might perhaps be kind of relevant to you as well. For me the idea of streaming digital media out of these devices is...- musixs

DACS Compatible with Synology nas directly with USB
Please enlight me: 1. Can we amplify digital signals so that they would produce louder sound? OR do we need to convert digital signal to analog format before we could actually hear any audible diference? 2. At which point of interface does this signal (Digital? or Analog?) can be...- musixs

DACS Compatible with Synology nas directly with USB
I think coonnecting your DAC to the USB socket of Synology NAS is not worth it. If I'm not mistaken the Synology is pre equiped with an internal DAC if connected via its USB output. I just bought DS114 NAS and were trying to connect my Theorem 720 via the Synology USB sockets using their Audio...- musixs

Audeze LCD-X
I'm getting my Leben CS300 XS tube amp next week. Had an audition at the local audio shop with a few of classical musix and just love the neutrality, the solid soundstage it bring to the music. The bass from the pipe organ sounded so warm and grand. But then again I was listening from an SACD...- musixs

The Leben CS300XS Thread
Hi Leben's lovers.. Just wondering how would the CS300F edition sound different from the CS300XS? I'm about to decide which of the two should I opt. A local audio shop has the 300F in stock but not the 300XS. It seems that the 300XS has been evryone's favourite here.. Not to mention that...- musixs

Audeze LCD-X
A local dealer told me he has tried to pair WA5 with LCD2 before and the combination was rather disappointing. He would prefer the WA6SE instead.. The WA6SE produces beautiful sound with the LCD-X. But it's not transparant & natural enough for me.. The Leben is (but the CS600 is rather...- musixs

Anyone tried Erzetich Perfidus (with LCD-X)?? It's a Slovenian solid state amplifier. If not Phasemation EPA-007, which is also a solid state amp. Been curious for the Triode TRX-PM84 Integrated Tube Headphone Amp. It's desktop DAC/Amp apparently. Thanks..- musixs

Audeze LCD-X
Just tried a Japanese tube amp. LEBEN C600 with LCD-X. The outcome was so naturally natural. Very transparant and lively. In a way it sounded like a solid state amp but still having the soft "edges" to the tone. A very different character to WA6SE. For me the 6SE produced a more "lush" tone...- musixs

Audeze LCD-X
I'm using the Theorem 720 with my LCD -X. When listening to pops I think I'm quite satisfied with it. The bass was there, enough punch. Just nice... I would say. But listening to Brahms Requiem, I felt that there''s something missing to the sound reproduction. Though Dvorak's Cello concerto...- musixs

Audeze LCD-X
Hi Callizer.. My fellow countryman...Lol. Guess I was not that lucky at times. Headfonia didn't have it in stock, so did Jaben STC. Had to pre-order it but I wasn't so keen in doing so. Eventually bought the LCD-X from Mike. Tried their HD800 demo though with all the available amp on site...- musixs

Audeze LCD-X
Best option I've tried so fair for the LCD-X is WA6SE but with that I've not had the chance to try other pairing. Would like to try the HUGO mentioned above from a local dealer and see if the little amp is really worth its tag. Local retail price is around usd $1,700. Guess it's comparable to...- musixs

Been listening to these two combo for a couple of months now. It's good, lively and it's portable! But still not satisfied enough. Still trying to find other amp.pairing. Tried WA7 but it sounded too crips for me. I like the WA6SE better but feel that it was too warm and mellow (not enough...- musixs
