My cat just bit through the cables to both sides of my two month old PortaPros while I was out of the room, will I have any luck sending them in to Koss to be repaired under the warranty? How much will they charge me to fix them if it is not under warranty?

I don't have anywhere near me to audition Sennheiser headphones, so I was hoping someone could give me their impressions on the difference between these two models. From what I've been able to find by searching, the 485 is bassier, but I would also like to know how they compare in detail...
