My i5 was also looking for media servers but was not able to connect (logitech media server, minimserver, BubbleUPnP....) are those kind of "fileservers" supported or would you recommend to connect to a shared folder on a NAS instead?- diorange

Jep. Coming from the original D2 and always liked BBE+ and mach3bass stuff. You won't be missing it on the x3. I tried the EQ for a couple of songs. Set to off now. This thing is so good out oft the box!- diorange

Just hooked up the new Fiio to a Galaxy S4 (UAPP) via micro to micro OTG. Interface of UAPP + sound of X3 2nd gen = Jej.- diorange

I also have the Rockets paired with a X3 2nd. Nice Combo, but still suffers from the 3,5mm connector problem. Walk around and be prepared to insert the Roxkets again and again. Very loose fit. :( I'll add a pic later, so you can See that the Rockets stand out by 2-3 mm. Sennheiser HD280pro and...- diorange

Yeah nice. Since you are already working on a VU Meter, you might also consider a classic spectrum-view like the Oppo HA-1 or the Squeezebox classic have.- diorange

Thanks for the input. I have labled the pictures with "red", "green", "1" and "2". Judging the pictures - is it possible to tell, whether red goes to 1 or 2? Or do we have to go through trial and error at the repair shop?- diorange
