Alclair RSM Quad Custom In-Ear Monitor Impressions Thread [ These are REALLY worth checking out ]

Sorry for the late reply. What I am saying is that the drums via the Alclair Quads sound exactly like drums sound live or when we'll recorded. Snares snap, Toms punch, you can hear the beater and the head mic on kicks. I mean I can hear the quality of the drums themselves. Is it a set of Vintage...

Alclair RSM Quad Custom In-Ear Monitor Impressions Thread [ These are REALLY worth checking out ]

Been using the iBasso DX90... Awesome. The thing I notice about the Quads is how impactful and "right" the drums are. Just amazing. I mixed some rock track yesterday and used my Quads for the first time in that context. They sounded much like my studio monitors which is a good thing.

best option for portable headphone/iem for around 300

The Etymotic ER4P are great at $299.00.  They don't require an amp.   They are very neutral.   They are not a bass heavy eim, very detailed lots of top end.   I have used them for years with my iPod/pad/phone etc.   They also ship with a 75ohm cable that changes the sound to the ER4S profile...

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

Thanks Joker... I'll have a look at those models. One follow up question... Are you referring to the RSM Quad $600 usd,or the Aliclair Reference which is less $ when you say both the 330v and the V6 Stags are better? Thanks again.

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

Joker and Headfis,    Thanks for all you work and dedication to this thread!!!    I am looking for my first pair of CIEMs.  A long time owner and lover of the ER4P/S iems, I seek all the goodnees of the ER4s (detail, clarity, resolution, accuracy and neutrality) but with a more 3D...

Custom Art – Music Two – Appreciation/Discussion/Impressions/Review Thread

Looking for my first set of customs.   Joker's glowing review of the Custom Art Music One caught my eye, but I own and love the Eytomotic ER4P/S  Its hard to articulate but what i want in my next pair of iems is all of the detail and resolution and clarity of the ER4 but a more 3D presentation...

to be clear when I did the media rescan the audible noise diminieshed greatly.   Changing the digital filter had no impact on the pop or track trasition.  I am doing a factory reset now.

Paul/iBasso,   I just received my DX90.  I just love the sound quality which is improving with burn in.  I like the big buttons which work fine for me and have no major complaints with the UI either.     To get files on the DX90 I have been taking my apple lossless artist folders from my...

I am totally loving the dx90. I am using my er4p with it and the sound is superb. The reason i bought the dx90 was pure chance. Sitting next to a guy on a plane who I noticed was wearing some higher end Westone monitors. We started chatting and he sowed me the iBasso. He had some of the same...

How much should I generally need to spend to get a great IEM?

Fadem is spot on. Once you get to a certain level it is about preference. What that level is for you would be hard to tell. For example, I have been a fan of the Eytomic ER4 (S and P) variants for many years. These are $300 iems that are pretty neutral/flat. I use them professionally during my...
