Wireless Bluetooth headphones with good sound quality and good bass under £350
Sennhesier Urbanites are worth a listen. They're kind of Sennheiser's answer to Beats. They're definitely much higher SQ than the Beats.- LittleBigDave

MrSpeakers Alpha PRIME: Impressions and Discussion Thread
Thank you, that's very helpful information. I already own the WA7 so no investment (although not the WA7tp yet). The PM-3s are high on my wish list also, but knowing that the Alpha Primes won't be around much longer I will probably take the leap on those first. It sounds from the many comments...- LittleBigDave

MrSpeakers Alpha PRIME: Impressions and Discussion Thread
Was in the market for some EL-8 closed, but having read so many negative opinions on them, I'm now leaning towards some of these babies, especially as it's the last chance to pick them up. Was wondering if people considered the Primes to be a step up over the Alpha Dogs in every respect...- LittleBigDave

Headphones with good isolation with the sound quality of sennheiser 650?
The reviews I've read on the closed EL-8 have been pretty favourable. That treble issue seems to be a production issue as opposed to an design issue from what I can tell.- LittleBigDave

Headphones with good isolation with the sound quality of sennheiser 650?
EL-8 has to be worth a shout no? Fostex TH-600s are going a bit cheaper now that they're obsolete, which might be an option.- LittleBigDave

Sennheiser HD25 Aluminium 25th anniversary edition review
Can anyone recommend a good cable to go with these? I'm aware of Moon Audio but don't really want to splash out to that degree and was looking for something more UK/Euro based.- LittleBigDave

Fostex TH600 Dynamic Headphones
Is there a new version of these coming, or a TH-700 or something? I sold my 600s a while back but have kind of missed them ever since, and the 900s are a little out my price range (and not mad about the wood finish). The TH-500s seem to be getting good reviews but I need closed backs.- LittleBigDave

Audeze EL-8 Closed Version Impressions Thread
I'm very much in the market for a pair of these but my god I wish they did an all black version. That wood is just so ugly in my eyes. A little worried about this brightness issue as well, although I'd use with my Woo7 which would hopefully sort that.- LittleBigDave

New Sennheiser Urbanite XL Wireless: First Impressions and Discussion Thread.
So, I did pick up a pair of these and first impressions aren't great. The touch controls are really awkward and I keep accidentally pausing the music every time I try and adjust the volume, and even when I just move the headphones on my head a bit. I'll give them a week to see if I can get used...- LittleBigDave

New Sennheiser Urbanite XL Wireless: First Impressions and Discussion Thread.
Thinking if picking a pair of these up as I'm looking for some fun BT headphones. Was leaning towards the Momentums but the issues I've read about with the noise reduction have put me off. One question I have is how the touch controls work. Would they only work with something like an...- LittleBigDave

Headphones for an "open plan" workplace...
I went through this process recently. Eventually I settled on the Beyer T70, although it was a close call between that and Shure 1540. There wasn't much between the two but in the end I just found the noise isolation slightly better on the Beyers. I know some complain about a lack of bass but I...- LittleBigDave

Most overrated headphones?
Yeah. that's fair enough. Perhaps "overrated" is the wrong term, just "disspointing" on a personal level. Although SQ aside, I think the design deserves criticism even for mid-fi.- LittleBigDave

Most overrated headphones?
First of all I just couldn't get on board with the design. Comically big, couldn't get a good seal, the pads got hot and uncomfortable and the lead was ridiculously long. So it was off to a bad start with me. But that aside, they just sounded boring to me. I'm not a bass head but these...- LittleBigDave

Most overrated headphones?
Hi everyone, longtime reader, first time post. Personally I was very disappointed with the AKG K550. I'd seen pretty much universal acclaim for these and was very excited about picking them up, but found the design slightly ridiculous and the sound uninspiring. Objectively I can see why...- LittleBigDave
