There are plenty of people who have tried devices like the EtherREGEN and reported back very positive and clearly audible results. I am sure others will report back that they cant hear much difference. Depends on your home setup, including how clean the power is that comes out your wall socket...

To audition with the Bartok I would recommend: Hifiman HE1000 SE Focal Stellia Focal Utopia I own the first two and have borrowed the Utopia's to use in my Bartok. They all sound fantastic.

You dont have to replicate every bit of the Rossini's functionality with a really expensive additional box. The DAVE on its own is very very good. Some ppl for example do not like the M-Scalar with the DAVE. So that is not an essential purchase. You dont need to spend a fortune on a streamer...

It might be a better option sonically, but the price difference is absolutely colossal going from a DAVE to a Rossini DAC. They are nearly £20k now.

I would say it is not an in front of speakers sound, but a shift; and yes it’s true to source or seems accurate when compared to turning all crossfeed effects off.
