      ok, so I do confess to ordering an amp a couple of days ago to see if that would help remedy some of the loss of bass on my ER4P/S, so I guess you are right that I do miss it :-)

    I agree ... I've had many different sorts of earphones/headphones over the years in the $300-$500 range (i.e. cant speak to the HD800/AKG range of products) and nothing comes close to the Etys in terms of isolation+accuracy. You can almost entirely shut out everything around you and all you hear...

    I see that the JDS C421 have been replaced by the JDS C5, (as Zonto has also noted above). Have any of you used the ER4P or S with the C5, and would you recommend it as enthusiastically as the C421 as a "synergistic" pair for the ER4P/S??   Thanks!
