Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7 Discussion Thread
Thanks for the impressions, it seems M70x is indeed very interesting (particularly because of lack of bass). How about M70x's soundstage and imaging? Do they feel claustrophobic or airy?- casiophreak

New Denon AH-MM200, AH-MM300, & AH-MM400 Headphones added to the Music Maniac line
Nah, your impression is fine, since it seems that the MM400 is really quite bassy. It's just me that really hate bass quantity, like the ATH M50x or MDR 1A. Hell, even I gave up my MSR-7 because I feel it still have too much bass. Now I'm rocking on Beyer T70 and that is the level of my...- casiophreak

New Denon AH-MM200, AH-MM300, & AH-MM400 Headphones added to the Music Maniac line
Well, I'm a super anti-basshead, so after reading your impression it seems that the MM400 will be out of my list. Shame though, since the design and presentation of the cans is super nice, me very likey.- casiophreak

Need Recommendations on Upgrading from Beyerdynamic T70
Hi all Headfiers, I want to hear some opinion about upgrading from Beyerdynamic T70. So far, the T70 has all I need in a set of cans. Its clarity, accurate separation, extreme detail, and massive soundstage (for closed cans) combined with piercing highs and sweet mid. Anemic bass? Nope, for...- casiophreak

Android phones and USB DACs
DanBa, thank you very much for such detailed elaborations. So I assume that the case will be the same with Xperia Ray, right? Hopefully it will have enough power. I just feel that Z Ultra is too big to be used as standalone DAP, and Note 3 is too pricey. Again, thank you for the information.- casiophreak

Android phones and USB DACs
Oh, okay, thanks for the explanation. I have Xperia Z Ultra, but I intend to use it only as a phone. I'm still looking for an android to be used exclusively as a DAP with USB DAC. It could be a Note 3 to make it sure it will work with the hibino, but it seems too pricey. I browse through this...- casiophreak

Android phones and USB DACs
Yeah, now I see that box. If that's really the case then it will be a huge turnoff. After reading your explanation about D55, can we assume that any USB DAC that doesn't require drivers for PC is fully compatible with android?- casiophreak

Of course I've translated some of those DH1 reviews, the general consensus of Japanese audio enthusiasts seem to favor this DAC positively. However, I couldn't make out the details of their arguments due to crappy translations from google. I also found...- casiophreak

Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7 Discussion Thread
Yeah, I get what you mean already. The reason why I push myself to make it work with the AT tube amp because It's 100% positive that I will get my hands on the tube amp with my friend's help when he go to Japan next week. But of course portability issue is one thing and getting myself a...- casiophreak

Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7 Discussion Thread
I already use Cowon D20 for portable player, I love the sound, and I don't know if I have to upgrade to DX90 only for the MSR7 It's just that my friend is going to Japan next week, so I can ask his help to get the HA22TUBE, and I just really excited to hear that it pairs wonderfully with MSR7...- casiophreak

Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7 Discussion Thread
Hello guys. I'm really interested in buying msr7. I've read that the cans are amp-sensitive and actually perform wonders if paired with ATH-HA22Tube amp. The fact that the tube amp is not so portable has made me think twice before buying these cans, as I will always use these cans on-the-go...- casiophreak
