In the other headfi post on JH Layla, people are raving about its sound quality and it is so tempting to buy one. I know this is ridiculous, but can we expect the Roxannes to sound at least to some extent like Layla when upgrading to DHC flagship silver custom cable.

Yes that's right. Each time there was a Facebook post on DHC about the Roxannes I mailed Peter to get to know when the order can be placed. It looks like there was a delay from JH to send the connectors to DHC and due to this it was pending a long time. This time I hope we can expect them sooner.

Has anyone tried JH Layla / Roxanne with the cypher labs rig (solo DB + duet) ? How does it compare to Hugo in terms of sound quality? I have read that cypherlabs products are often overlooked but provide very good value performance wise.

Exactly. From what I have read so far the soundstage of Roxanne > K10. How does Layla compare to Roxannes in terms of soundstage.

It took me 6 weeks time from the ear impressions till the unit delivery. And it was a holiday time too, when JH audio was closed for a week. So hopefully yours should be arriving just in time before 6 weeks.

Yes, the Roxannes work well straight out of an iPod. It really dosent need an amp to show its powers. But I would recommend a good DAC though.

Just got my custom Roxannes from JH audio Burbank office. Quick listening for few mins and they are impressive. I am no audiophile but enjoy good music. They have a full bodied and thick sound with a tall soundstage, that makes it almost hearing from speakers.
